Gosh, where do I begin? I wanted it to work so badly but it just doesn’t. This is a “BB essence” that is very thin and separates (before every usage you gotta shake it well). When I first saw this, I was so excited. I mean the whole Mat range was still new and the packaging look so pretty and sleek and I was excited to read that it contains “natural volcanic perlite [that will] gently absorb skin sebum for a 12H shine-free, 100% poreless mattifying finish”. Being an oily-skin person who loves makeup is hard, y’all. Especially when you live in a hot n humid all-year round climate like my country. I have now come to accept the fact that I’ll always end up being oily but I try my best to find a good and affordable foundation that will at least help to reduce the need to blot throughout the day.
This product has a cooling sensation when I first apply it, and when I buff it all out, it feels sticky. It takes a while to dry down. After setting it with powder, I went out. After two hours I noticed that not only my face looked cake-y and oily af, but when I sweat, the BB essence DRIPPED DOWN MY FACE. It even oxidized and turned into 2 shades darker! Don’t get me wrong, I gave this product a few chances and kept on using it for at least a month and I still get the same problems. If you’re an oily girl, maybe it will work for you if you live in a cooler climate or you’re always in a place with air-conditioning but if you don’t, avoid this product !
