I’ve been using this for about 6 years and can’t imagine my hair without it. I buy it in packs of 3 from Amazon and those 3 bottles last me about a year.
It does an excellent job controlling frizz, which I desperately need here in the hot and humid South. It makes my hair shiny and just overall more healthy looking.
Since I changed my morning hair routine and started conditioning first and then shampooing, the Giovanni Frizz B Gone works even better and my hair is behaving like never before. (It’s a shame it took me 45 year to find out that was the secret to getting better hair).
The ONLY drawback I have found to this product is static. During the winter months, I get horrible static in my hair and Frizz B Gone seems to exacerbate the problem. I just keep a can of Static Guard on hand and spray my hair and brush down with it and no more static.

One of the few products that can bring my highlighted hair down from the skies when the frizziness is out of control. The key: using a small amount of it. I started out with a whole thick pump of it and it was, obviously, not a good idea as it got very heavy and not goodlooking at all, but going with a little of it all over your hands and work your hands up throughout your hair and you’ve got it frizzless, especially if you do it before blowdrying and then make sure with your hairdryer that everything stays in place.
A real HG during these cold, frizzy-electric-hair creating months.

While this is super thick, it does a very good good job of controlling frizz as promised. I apply it to damp hair and allow to air-dry. I even put a mousse or light styling cream on top and have good results. It has a pleasant scent and leaves my hair with a healthy shine. I wish the consistency was a bit thinner as it makes it hard to spread on my hair. the good thing is I only need about a tablespoon for my long hair. There are other serums I prefer to this one, but this is easier to get for me and not as pricey.

I love its ingredients. Even though it does give my hair a beautiful glow to it and it untangles my hair, this product doesn’t really do much to my hair when it comes to the frizz.

With my fine, frizzy, out of control, curly hair I have found myself using a host of both salon and drug store products. Giovanni Frizz Be Gone is among my favorites. The key to any product is applying it correctly. This serum is made to be used lightly so I use a pearl-size amount about 5-10 minutes after I get out of the shower. It’s not at all useful if it’s applied while your hair is saturated with water (nor is any other product other than shampoo!). If the hair shaft is filled with water it can’t absorb the product, right? You’ll also find yourself applying much more product than needed and it will look very greasy once it dries. I usually apply Giovanni 2chic Brazilian Keratin & Argan Oil first then apply the Frizz Be Gone serum depending on my conditioning regimen. If I allow my hair to air dry (which is rare) it’s SUPER soft an manageable and I’ll follow with a pearl sized amount of Sexy Hair Organics Styling Cream and a few sprays of Modern Organic Products Curl Refreshing Spray. If I need to blow dry I use a large round brush with boars hair bristles and a ceramic tourmaline core to combat frizz in sections. If I have waited the right amount of time to apply my product and blow out my hair with the brush I usually won’t need product after the fact unless I’m setting my hair. If I apply product while its wet and blowout my hair in chaos my hair is a mess no matter what product I use.
I started using products for frizz over 10 years ago when I first highlighted my hair. I have a really sensitive scalp and I tend to break out when I use products containing harsh chemicals. This product is free from many of them but it’s two main ingredients are silicons so that is something to be aware of and is also the reason many people find this product a little “weighty” on their hair when applied in greater amounts. I do not use this product on my scalp and wash it from my hands (yes it does take a few washes as do all of my other natural and organic products). I would not suggest using this as a primer as someone mentioned or using it anywhere else on the skin as the silicone will clog pores and not allow the skin to breathe and studies have also shown tumor growth in animals.
Once I run out I think I’ll try a completely organic product but I would definitely use this again if I couldn’t find an alternative. It’s worked really well and I like it over the synthetic salon products I used to use. It smells great without a heavy perfume scent and doesn’t feel greasy on my hands like other serums. It’s lasted over a year and my hair is long (reaches my shoulder blades), and I still have a bit left in the bottle!
*I also use organic shampoos and conditioners which I found helped my frizz issues. I use a Tea Tree clarifying shampoo once a week to remove oil and build up and a deep conditioning mask in place of my conditioner to restore damage done during color processing.

Though I wanted to love it, and it has good ingredients (these silicones are somewhat water soluble), even using two teaspoons of it a day with nothing else on my wavy blonde hair left it dry to the touch and still frizzy (though maybe a little better).
If it didn’t have any silicones in it I’d be impressed.

I don’t seem to like this product. It weighed down my hair and it not do much to bring down most of my frizz after using a hair straightner. I ended up having to use more than I wanted and it made my hair greasy looking with some left over frizz. I want to use more organic products however, I’ve used non organic serums before with better effects. I have thick, dry curly hair & straighten my hair at times.
It is not a cheap serum either that’s in a smaller bottle.
I found another organic hair serum that worked better than this one.

I love this! My mom bought it for her fine hair, and she said it weighed it down too much. I have really thick, course hair. Before I cut it short, I used to straighten my hair all the time. I didn’t use an especially good straightener, so my hair would get frizzy. This was my miracle product, and I still use it all the time, even with short hair! The key to using this product is to use a very very small amount. It even says so on the back! It really smooths down your hair and makes it so soft. I also really like the smell of it. My favorite way to use this is to rub a small amount (think smaller than a pea, and I had hair a little above the small of my back) between my palms and run it over my ends very lightly and using very little product there. I don’t get split ends, so I didn’t use it there very much. I then apply the rest of the product to my shorter layers, which were more damaged. That part of my hair has been damaged for as long as I can remember… maybe it’s just curly there? Anyway, I would finish this up and my hair would feel like silk. Then I would use John Freida’s frizz ease finishing cream on top, which is more of a temporary frizz fighter. The two of them combined smell amazing, especially used with Tressemme’s Heat Tamer spray. I would get so many compliments on how amazing my hair smelled and looked and felt when I used this! Definitely a HG item for me… and even though it’s a small bottle, it lasts a long time. I’ve been using one bottle for 3 years now… definitely worth the purchase!

I loved how silky and smooth my hair is when I use this. A little does go a long way idk if when people say it weighs their hair down, it’s because they are using too much or not but it seems fine on my hair. My hair is fine and very straight and it’s didn’t weigh it down. It took the frizz away with a gently scent that I really enjoy.

I did not like this. It was too heavy and greasy for my hair. It is very thick and sticky, and I did have to wash my hands about 4 times to get the residue to come off. I would not buy this product again.
