i actually lucked out and got these as samples when i bout the eye shadows. i am SO glad i did. i tried the, fell in love, and ran out and bought the lips ASAP. i wore one to work the other day (sadly i suck at remembering the names of things, but it was awesome) and i swear it was going strong when i was driving home. and i ate, drank coffee, water, talked, bit my lips, and of course touched them throughout the day. and i got mucho compliments 😉

New product. If times passes and I still find it awesome, I’ll change the score to 5/5.
So, this is nice. Less drying than Melt but, as with Melt, the application feels weird because the matte formula doesn’t glide on like a cream lipstick; it drags a bit. It helps to warm the product by holding it still on the lips for a few seconds. The only other matte lipsticks I’ve tried were the liquid kind, and this product doesn’t settle into my lip lines like liquids tend to do, so I’m loving it!
It does transfer a bit. It has good staying power (not as good as liquids). It has less of a chemical taste than liquids. All these matte formulas leave me with a faint paint-like taste in the mouth. Not a big issue with this product compared to a liquid formula, and besides, it could just be the shape of my lips (pouty?) causes me to ingest more product than others would.
This review is for the color simply titled ‘714’. For reference, my lips naturally have a lot of pigment which can ruin certain colors or make it harder to wear them (need liner or foundation on lips first, bleh). Anyways, on me, with no liner underneath, 714 looks like a blue-based pinky red. It’s almost a berry color but still a bright red somehow? It looks even more pink when it transfers or when pink when I wipe it on something but again, it’s still a bright red on the lips. Hmm.. I find it to be kind of a unique color, HOWEVER, I own very few lipsticks; people with larger collections might see this color and find it very dupable. I’m just excited to find a red that’s flattering on me!

the colours are nice as is the packaging….theres no smell which I appreciate BUT applying it—OMG what a disaster. it pulls and goes on so unevenly. it took forever to get an even coat and then it bleeds and spreads like theres no tomorrow.

I have (and will return) rock steady. It’s flipping beautiful but it bleeds. So. f***ing. much. It’s made of lies, I tell you. solid lies.

I have this in Rock Steady and I love it. I’m a sucker for red lipstick but I’m not used to glossy reds and this one really surprised me and exceeded my expectations. This is a berry red, kind of dark but very wearable. I love that it’s smooth, it doesn’t have a scent or taste, it glides on easily, very pigmented, not streaky…I love it. I don’t have anything bad to say other than the packaging feels a little cheap but hey, the color is gorgeous so whatever.
Totally 100% recommend.

I got this in Ex-Girlfriend (both the liner and the lipstick). Ex-Girlfriend is my HG lipstick. I should preface that with the fact that I pretty much hate lipstick and prefer lip gloss. Ex-Girlfriend is the perfect sheer-nude color. The packaging is super cute – very 1920’s feeling. I really like EX-Girlfriend and have picked up and extra 4-5 tubes since it is Limited Edition.

I have Ex-Girlfriend and Firebird. I was hoping Ex-Girlfriend was going to be more of a nude on me. Perhaps my very pigmented lips need some concealer on them in order to get the true Ex-Girlfriend shade. Overall, it’s darker than I would’ve liked but I can see how it’d be flattering on multiple skin tones. I love how glossy Firebird is. It’s far glossier than Ex-Girlfriend. It’s a beautiful deep fuchsia. I typically find the darker the lipstick, the better the staying power and this seems to apply to Firebird. It lasted me through a meal and I didn’t really need to reapply.

I got this in ExGirlfriend (an apt title for me!) which I didn’t know there was a matching 24/7 lipliner! (Got that on order!!). ExGF is a lovely but albeit a bit sheer MLBB color almost half balmy but very moisturizing which I like. I’d consider it similar to Nars Dolce Vita or Chanel Mademoiselle 05 type color. The packaging is uber adorable. I’d love to own them all but realistically I’m not probably going to buy another color coz only MLBB, nudes, Browns/beiges, & baby Barbie pale pink colors appeal to me. So I’ll leave it checked off I’d buy it if I wasn’t a broke a$$ sistah I’d buy them all but I really like EX-GF too bad it’s LE or I would buy 1 ev month til I had collected all of them LOL #firstworldproblems I think $20 is overinflated for most lipsticks but that seems to be the going rate! ;/ lasting power so-so only lipsticks that last on me traditional type are MAC, Chanel, & UD.

Absolutely gorgeous deep plum exactly like you see on Gwen Stephani always. Beautiful color that I hunt for constantly. $20 is more than I ever pay, but I was in ULTA, found it and could not leave without it. The color is that perfect!

I was so disappointed when I tried on this lipstick at Ulta. I have fair skin and green eyes, and normally bright colors look magical on me. Every one of these except for fireberry made me so disappointed. They looked beautiful online, and I was expecting to buy about four of them. They were not bad, it was just obvious that out of like the five reds, it was obvious I could find a better one for me on any other shelf.
