It’s a good product, I love the smell and it makes my face feel really smooth after; however it does not blow me away. I felt it did not help improve the condition of my skin nor did not exfoliate my skin as much as I would have liked.
I used it daily, right at night as a light exfoliant to help my skincare absorb better. It’s very gentle and the beads did not feel rough. My sensitive skin did not react to it or breakout.
I have acne prone with terrible breakout a few months ago and finally was able to tame the breakouts. These breakouts, have left me with hyperpigmentation and red spots all over my face. This exfoliator didn’t really do much to help fade my scars and didn’t really remove the dry skin patches I had from the tropical acne creams I was applying. Maybe after my hyperpigmentation isn’t an issue I would start using this again.

Overall: 8/10
I double cleanse, first with oil then with a cleanser. This product cleans my face well. The scrub is nice but not necessary. I love the citrus scent. I took points off because it is quite drying on my already dry skin. I think this would be excellent for more normal-oily skin types. It is very lathery so you only need a small amount. One tube has lasted me over 6 months. The price is good, not too expensive.
I would repurchase this cleanser.

This can burn on my sensitive skin. When I use this I wake up with red burning spots on my face.

Have to say I was not a fan. After recently running out of my homemade pumpkin, spice, sugar, and Vitamin E scrub that a friend made for me, I decided to give this a go.
First off, I knew that this product would have a very orangey smell, but some of the Origins Facial products that have an orange scent have a darker, sweeter almost CHOCOLATEY orange scent (the High Potency Night a mins to my nose, for example), so I was hoping it would be like that. It is not. This is an extremely bitter-smelling orange, which I can see how this adds to the extra feeling of ‘zing” that this product gives the skin and is named for and how a chocolate orange scent might be too mellow and tame for that same effect. I was not a fan though.
As far as the performance goes, it did polish the skin. Very well in fact but almost too well. The homemade scrub i used before worked on sugar, which is a humectant, meaning it draws moisture and helps to bind it in to the skin after the harsher, solid texture of the sugar itself scrubs away any dead skin blocking the pore. This coupled with the pumpkin puree (which is both a hydrator and something that works also like a mild exfoliating enzyme in a more “chemical”/acid/deeper skin layers kind of way), made that exfoliator very gentle and simultaneously effective. After the one time using the Ginzing however, my skin felt very polished but was also sore. Not overtly red (any more so than after a more trusted physical exfoliant would be used- my skin is very pale and shows temporary redness after scrubbing/physical exfoliation or even a good deep or double-cleansing very easily but it generally is easily soothed and goes away quickly), but even at that, this product made my skin sore. I do not like this and don;’t feel it could be a good sign. Also the coffee beans neither dissolve nor rinse away very well.
Also the bitter orange smell doesn’t go away easily either.
It might be good for some but not for me. I couldn’t say many positive things about it, so it’s hard to recommend, but it never hurts to try. I got this in a kit with several other prodyucts that I wanted to try. The Vitazing eye cream seems a winner for me and the Original Skin Serum is quickly growing to be a trusted twice daily part of my skincare routine, but i did not like this at all.

A so, so product. Not terrible by any means but for the price it’s not what I would expect. I have tried drugstore scrubs that are way better than this. If you have sensitive skin, I would look elsewhere for a more gentle scrub.

This is the ONLY origins product that I have tried that I like. I have tried 4 other products, and they did not work for me. I would like to start with the “negative” and reason I removed one lippie. This is a good scrub, but it is just as good as other light scrubs I have tried that were cheaper. For that I removed a lippie because for what you pay for, I expect more from it. It does a good job for an everyday scrub. Not something you want to use as an intense dead skin cleanser type product. Love the smell, and it does not irritate my skin. As good as this product is, I will be returning it as using a regular cleanser to was my face, because I (personally) prefer buying a product that I can use for my eyes and face. This is a personal preference, thus no lippie was removed. Definitely something I would recommend for those with sensitive skin!

I got this through Birchbox because I needed a new face scrub and figured I’d try something different than my trusty Michael Todd Jojova Charcoal scrub. This one smells really good, like an orange Starburst. It’s a cleanser as well as a scrub, so I guess you can use it as an all-in-one product but I just used it every few days. Although i wish there were more scrubbies, it was still at the level where it worked but wasn’t too abrasive. My skin never felt overly stripped when using this (dry skin, so this happens a lot) and remained relatively smooth for 2-3 days. Are there better and cheaper options out there? Yes, but this scrub is still pretty good and will last you several months (even with a boyfriend who uses it as well).

This cleanser smells amazing. It has a light zesty Orange scent. I love that this cleanser has an exfoliant in it since I always tend to add a gentle facial scrub to my cleansers to avoid doing two separate steps. I think this cleanser is great for dry skin, combination skin, and/or dull skin.
