I love the shimmers and in my collection are City Lights & True. City Lights is a shimmery light brown and True is shimmery light rosy pink. Both make great topcoats, but there’s no longevity or stain. They’re better described as gloss sticks than lipsticks. The price is prohibitive if you want a lipstick you don’t have to carry in your pocket as it wears off with a straw or a cigarette. The case is elegant, though, despite being all plastic.

I have #578 DIORKISS. The color is an absolutely beautiful medium rosy pink, sheer but with enough opacity to give your lips a nice flush and some satin shine action. The packaging is like, to die for. It’s $$$. I would honestly use this every day and repurchase forever if it lasted more than ten minutes on my lips!! Plus, it’s drying for some reason. It’s gorgeous while it lasts though.

This review is for #623: Not Shy.
Some background: After some bad products from Chanel I didn’t want to get into another design house makeup. But I started out with the Dior Glow balm and fell in love. Now I’m obsessed with the line.
Dior Not Shy is a MLLB on my Nc-15 shade skin. My lips are pretty pigmented so that’s why this Mauvy berry tone works on me. I can’t really detect a scent in this.
The case is beautiful: the reflective silver packaging with the pinks and purple reflecting off of it. There is a magnetic click that secures it. It’s very elegant packaging.
The product itself is very moisturizing. I am a fan of Fresh sugar lip treatments and I’d say this is close to that level without becoming a mushy mess. The color stays shiny and glossy for 2-3 hours depending on how much I eat or drink. Then it leaves behind a lovely even stain on my lips that keeps them beautiful all day long. It stays on my full 8 hour day so no complaints here. Maybe it’s because this is a darker shade? I know people are complaining about lighter shades not staying long.
All in all this is a great lipstick. Highly recommended for dry or older lips because of how slick it is.

I purchased “Smile,” Jennifer Lawrence’s favorite shade.
Color: a warm-based light pink
Texture: very, very moisturizing, truly feels and acts like a lip balm
Finish: sheer color with tiny shimmers (non-gritty) that can be layered for a little more layoff; truly plumps lips and makes them look fuller and poutier
Lasting power: it does last a really long time on the lips, at least 3 hours if you’re not eating or drinking anything
You need it: if you have super dry lips and often have to choose between lip balm or lipstick
Rating: 5 stars for “Smile”
This review is by no means a reflection of the entire new line of Addict lipsticks. I tested quite a few at Sephora and most were too shiny (i.e. glittery and gritty) or too glossy for my taste. Most of the colors are cool and dark, which is not my preference either.
I loved the old formula and shade range of the Addict/Addict Extreme lipsticks, so I’m disappointed with this reedition. The new formula does have an edge on the moisturization factor, but keep in mind that not all shades perform the same; “Bright” was gritty and dried out my lips.

#578 DIORKISS – The new line seems pretty fab. I was shocked at how intense the color was! I would describe it as sort of like a bright cherry pink/magenta. First I applied it on my hand, and the color popped so much that I was seriously scared it might be tacky on my lips. but the formula is very much like a moisturizing gel, feels like butter on my lips. It glides on fairly sheer so that you can build it up if you want. I built it up quite a bit with 3-4 passes on my lips, and the color only looked more and more beautiful and not tacky at all. I think this color could be flattering on any skin tone. It has a bit of warmth to it, it’s not a super-blue pink, so it seems universally flattering. The only thing about this lipstick I don’t love is the packaging. I feel it is such an awkward shape, a bit too bulky too. But I like the pretty iridescence of the canister. Price point is good. Of course I wish it was more like $18, but for a lipstick of this quality both in consistency and gorgeous color, I will pay the price. This reminds me why I stopped buying lipsticks at the drugstore. This stuff is amazing!

I bought the new Dior Addict, reformulated for Fall 2015, just launched this month (Sept 2015). I bought Avenue, #667.
This is the first time that I am reviewing a product just after two days of use.
I just had to cos this is really my best lipstick, ever!
The colour payoff is superb – contrary to what they are supposed to be – ie., sheer and glossy.
Avenue #667, described as a terracotta brown, is a medium warm red’dish rose on me. Very very flattering on my warm Asian skin.
The colour payoff is 100% to my heart’s content – ie., I’ve always wanted a lipstick that I can apply straight from the tube, where the colour comes on not too intense/thick, nor too sheer that I use it up in no time! I like my lipstick to give a good coat of colour and this is it!
It lasts a good 6 hour on my lips with just sips from a teacup and it wears off evenly, non-drying, in fact so moisturising.
Really, I have never been so impressed with a lipstick before – and I have tons of high end lipsticks such as Dior Rouge Couture, Dior Rouge Baume, YSL Pur Couture, YSL Volupte Shine, YSL Sheer Candy, Chanel Rouge Coco, Lancome Rouge L’Absolu, Lancome Rouge in Love, etc (naming these lippies so you know what I am reviewing against.
Having said such wonderful stuff, I must add that most of the colours I swatched did not impress me. They were either too pale, too sheer, too frosty, too ordinary.
Only Avenue #667 impressed me no end. I supposed this colour coupled with the new formulation is simply a wining combination! After two days, I am already thinking I should get a back-up – in the same colour.
