Doesn’t moisturize really and doesn’t make lips seem smooth. Waste of money. Wouldn’t be buying it once I run out.

First off the color was really accurate to the color shown on the packaging. That is pretty impressive for such an affordable company. The color almost NEVER matches what is shown even on high end stuff (at least for me). The color was also very pigmented. The name did throw me off though. There is zero shimmer in this yet called lip shimmer??? You only need a little bit to get the color you want. Color was very pretty and I was super stoked as soon as I put it on but my problem lies with the finished look. Something about it wasn’t right. Maybe it was the thickness or the formula but I wasn’t crazy about how it looked in pictures. Also the packaging fell apart right away!!!!

I don’t wear lip products really, save for chapstick and let’s face it, every single person on the planet knows chapstick.
So I was at the drugstore looking for some Veet sensitive (don’t ask – just be aware that whatever it is you’re thinking happened, actually did happen). I don’t even know why I ended up looking at the Wet n Wild thingy to start with, but the shimmer things were on special so I bought one – 106. Apparently that one has a name, ‘Spice’…. I think most people would look at the wrapper first, but not me. No ma’am, not me!.
Anyway, I wasn’t expecting much because it’s a lip shimmer and I don’t even know what these things are meant to do. Not worrying about it, I tried it on and it did something that has so far been equaled by only one or two brands (Burt’s Bees is one). It’s actually a fine moisturizer with just a nice smidge of colour that’s not overpowering at all.
I think though it might not have enough “oomph” for someone wanting a definite colour on their lips.

I love this product! Like others have said, it’s very opaque at first, but after about 5 minutes it becomes more sheer. It has great staying power, and looks a lot like my natural lips. For $1.99, you can’t get anything better. Definitely buying this again.

I passed over this product time and again at the drug store, in spite of the fact that I love tinted lip balms and wear them all the time. I always had that nagging feeling I was missing out on something, but I have been disappointed with so many WnW makeup products that I was hesitant to try these lip shimmers. Finally after some research I decided to try the color Spice. I am pretty blown away by this product! As others have said, it is so pigmented that I would hardly call it a lip shimmer (also this particular shade has no shimmer at all). It is a beautiful rosy pink color, reminiscent of Maybelline CS lipstick in Warm Me Up. It has a very slight minty/herbal scent when applied but it is not anywhere near as strong as Burt’s Bees lip shimmers. I apply it by dabbing it on for a more sheer color. I love that it wears off evenly and stains my lips a bit. I find that the formula is quite moisturizing too. I am definitely going to try a couple more colors because I am very impressed with this product!

This shade covers like an actual lipstick on me. I’ve received several compliments when wearing it. I typically avoid colors this dark but have been experimenting and pleasantly surprised this works for me. I am fair/med with pink undertones. At around $1 a pop, I’m gonna snatch up several other colors and a couple extras of this shade.
Update: After buying a couple more of this shade, I think they are not quite the same. Maybe a difference in batches? Same number and name but not same color. However, the original one I purchased must have been a blue-based red. That is the only reds I can pull off. I hope the correct color is the like the first one I used. I’ll try again later and buy another to see.
Also makes my teeth look extra white. Gotta love that.

This was an impulse buy..I couldn’t decide between this and Loreal Color Riche gloss (like I needed either of them…) I chose this one for $2.
I was really expecting a “tinted” balm like the package says. I was thinking Nivea Kiss of Flavor or Burts Bees tints. Something along that line. Well, this is full on lipstick. Very opaque. And, while I love the moisture it provides, I just wasn’t looking for this much color. I’m very pale and if I don’t keep something tinted on my lips during the day, inevitably people ask me if I’m sick :/ I don’t have time to pit stop in the bathroom between classes (and I think it’s SO tacky to put on lipstick/gloss/makeup in class) so I just want to be able to swipe a moisturizing balm that gives me a little color and not have to worry about whether it’s smeared everywhere. Unfortunately, this isn’t it.
As a sidenote, the packaging is too cute. It’s a long, slender white tube and it looks very clean and neat. Love it.
I bought this in 106 (Spice) and 104 (berry). Obviously Spice is darker, but both are flattering colors on my fair skin. I will save these for more “dressy” makeup, and keep my non-complicated school routine with my Nivea KOF for now.
Bottom line: The name is deceiving. This should be called lipstick.

This is a beautiful reddish rose color on me. It looks like a very nice lipstick rather then a chopstick type. For people saying it isn’t very moisturizing, it isn’t balm. It is a lip shimmer. It feels nice and smooth and I adore it. I will be buying more as they are a great alternative to lipstick for summer. They add pigment which absorbs into the lips rather than pilling off like lipstick does on me. Click continued for a photo of it on my lips:

Did not like this product at all. I bought #104, the color looks pretty in the tube but comes off a horrible pink and accentuates every crack in your lips. Maybe its just not compatible for people with tan skin…
