This is a white floral, no doubt. The jasmine is strong here, but it’s not as sharp as some jasmine scents because of the honeysuckle. I was actually fascinated by the smell–I kept sniffing my own wrists while I was wearing it–and I would love it on another person. It’s not right for me, though. It reminded me of something my mother would wear, lovely and sophisticated and a little older, but in a complex way. So while I wouldn’t buy more, I might compliment you if you were wearing it.

I got this as part of a coffret of Aerin EDPs that also included Lilac Path, Amber Musk, Gardenia Rattan and Evening Rose. Ikat Jasmin is a sweet , clean Jasmine with a slightly synthetic smell. This is jasmine concocted in a lab, not growing outside your window. If I could only use one word to describe it, I’d say it’s safe. It’s not interesting or sexy or complicated. It’s just a safe, sweet, linear white floral that no one will object to.

You REALLY have to like ultra-floral scents if you’re gonna get this one. I never previously experienced a perfume that had all three Jasmine, Tuberose, and Honeysuckle – scents which I love – exclusively in one. But this combo was almost too floral for me. I could smell grassy undertones and the “whole picture” just reminisced of cheap bathroom soap (the wholesale pukey pink kind they refill with at the bathrooms in gas stations).
IMO florals are best paired, or at least backed up, with something faint but non-floral. If you’re a Honeysuckle and Jasmine fan, I’d suggest Burberry London. If you love tuberose, try Michael by Michael Kors. But just trying these alone is too flowery and hence cheap.

Very beautiful scent, I have been sniffing around the Estee Lauder counter ages before I’d actually got it. Unfortunately for the price tag it has really bad staying power on me. It lasts about 2 hours on skin and little bit more on the clothes..I was deciding between this and evening rose which I have to say I still smell from my bag weeks after I had sample paper in it.So maybe the longevity issue is regarding the jasmine one only…I am spoiled by Thierry Mugler scents so the quality of this is not enough for me. Having to reapplied perfume of this price several times a day is really bugging me…

I ADORE this stuff. I got the sampler of the original five Aerin fragrances (Ikat Jasmine, Gardenia Rattan, Amber Musk, Lilac Path and Evening Rose) — Ikat Jasmine is by far one of my favorites. It’s clean, crisp and just all around a lovely, pure jasmine smell – nothing too harsh, cloying or metallic. The actual bottles are GORGEOUS with the stones on top, and the pattern for this scent boasts a beautiful blue ikat pattern. This stays close to the skin (I only spray just once because the sampler bottles are generously sized, but still want to be modest with the amount) It has very impressive staying power and the hand cream is just as lovely. I would be willing to drop the $$ for the big size — all around one of my favorite, most well-done fragrances.

This was recommended for me by a sephora staff and I’m so glad she did!
Aerin Lauder is the grand daughter of Estée Lauder. Aerin started her own line of fragrances and and this was one of her perfumes. Ikat jasmine is the cleanest and most true jasmine scented perfume I’ve ever smelled. The lasting power is about 5-6 hours and I swear I’ve had men come up beside me and inhale this scent off my hair. I couldn’t believe the power this perfume had on men!!! Seriously it’s a man magnet! It’s $125 CAD in sephora. If this perfume ever gets discontinued I would be devastated!!
