I use the eyebrow wax strips, which has arched strips. I’ve used them for many, many years and saved myself tons of money with them. Twice a year, I’ll get my eyebrows waxed and then follow the shape the rest of the year with these.
Use them on clean skin. Expect to use several b/c cold wax strips very rarely work with one pass, and I go back with tweezers to remove strays. They’re much gentler than wax and any irritation generally calms after a few hours (although I’ll admit aggressive use means a 24-48 hour recovery).
It may take a bit of practice, but don’t give up. They’re perfect for maintaining a shaped natural brow, which fortunately is coming back. Don’t go overboard decorating your brows; it looks like something of yesteryear, silent movie actresses and is very aging. Natural is always better, so embrace your face!

You ever have those days you’re riffling through a store and buy crap to just be BUYING crap? Well that’s what happened one day as I’m browsing through Sally’s for no particular reason at all. I came across a section with hair removal products and snatched up a box of the Surgi Wax Assorted Strips for around $7-8 USD. I DID have a legit need for them and am very glad I ran across them. Now I’ve only used them on my upper lip, as I’m Latina so if you are too, you know why. I just pluck my brows, but use this wax on occasion to clean up my upper lip area and it works great for that. Now instead of using them cold, I hold them near a warm surface, such as a Scentsy burner that’s turned on and hot, or I’ve even taken a cigarette lighter and held the strip close to the flame, and apply it while it’s warm. I feel like it just works better that way, like it adheres to my rogue hairs better if applied hot/warm. I used microwave wax for years, the kind you spatula on to the area to be waxed, and this works just as well but way less mess and fuss. Super simple, novice users can’t screw it up (well, I’m sure one COULD but you’d have to be pretty dense to mess this stuff up.) I took off one lippie because of course it leaves a sticky residue which is hard to remove. I’ve bought waxing kits in the past that include a bottle of some kind of non-comedogenic fluid that removes residue. I’ve been using olive oil to remove the sticky residue, but it’d be cool if a solution especially meant for that purpose were included. It did include a teeny, tiny squeeze tube of aloe Vera gel to soothe the freshly waxed area however so that’s cool. Overall 4 lippies. I’m satisfied for the price, and it does it’s job.

Newbie to waxing, and tried these today…well, they totally converted me!
Easy to use, minimal pain, good for dark/coarse hair.
I was able to do my lips, sides and I even decided to do my nose! Yes! I did that, lol. (Like many people are claiming online it doesn’t hurt a bit, and for those who are wondering no, you don’t do everything, just the perimeter. Keep in mind I am a newbie who has never had a (facial) wax at the salon, and I was still able to do this.)
5 Stars for this product because the pre-cut strips are a little transparent which means you can do tricky places like the nose near the upper lip, and also your eyebrows, and actually see where the wax is going.
Plus it really does work taking out coarse hair. I have coarse dark hair and this worked just fine on me. I was worried that because it wasn’t hot wax, that it wouldn’t pull the hair out well enough, but it absolutely does. Infact one strip can be used more times than you’d think.
I also have extremely sensitive skin, and this stuff didn’t bother me too much. The gel was really high quality and effective too.
Overall, I feel really proud of myself, this kit made it so easy. I can’t wait to get better at waxing. I bought the bikini too and think I will try that one, since this one worked so well for me.
UPDATE:
I realized I actually pulled off a good portion of skin, which only really showed up today :(. This could be due to my inexperience with waxing, as this was on a part of my face without hair. I will update again the next time I use it but took off 2 lippies for now.

This product was very meh for me. Prior to this I had been using MOOM which is an organic all natural pre-made sugaring hair remover. I bought these on a whim after seeing them on clearance at Ulta. I followed the directions perfectly. And even tried these on different days, but they just didn’t work that well. However, I only tried them on my underarms. They did remove hair, and you could definitely get more than one use out of these, but they hardly removed much, to where I could see myself not having all my hair removed after going through the whole box. They were also more painful than MOOM. Overall there are definitely better products you could use, and I will stick to MOOM.

Despite following the directions to a T, I managed to pull all the skin off my upper lip not once, not twice, but all three times I tried this. I should have thrown it in the trash after the second time. I’m glad it seems to work well for others, but this is not the product for me.

i bought this in the assorted honey wax strips for face, upper lip, chin & cheek. i have some upper lip fuzz and got tired of paying $7 for a simple wax (that requires no special skill) and scared of razoring it off (in fear of it coming back thicker and darker).. so i finally plucked up the courage to try at-home wax strips. after standing in front of the wax shelf at ulta fo about 30 minutes, i finally picked out this one since the sound of “honey” sounded less painful.
i have virtually no skill when it comes to these things, but this was even simple enough for me to do. it’s essentially fool-proof. the kit comes with 8 double-sided small strips and 8 double-sided medium strips. i start by rubbing a strip between my hands for 20-30 seconds to get it warm enough to separate. then after i separate the strip, i bring out my hair-dryer and heat it for about 10-15 more seconds on low heat. apply (doesn’t have to be precise), pat down, and then… wax on, wax off. it grabs most if not all my little unattractive fuzz and is no more painful than getting it waxed by a professional. i rub off some of the excess wax (not a lot) and then i apply the soothing gel that comes with the kit. $7 + tip saved.
i believe you can pick these up at most drugstores for $7 at the most regular retail, and i have seen it on sale. $7 for 16 waxes sure beats $7 + tip for 1 wax. i will definitely use this over and over again for my upper lip (i still leave my eyebrows to the professionals).

Assorted Honey Wax Strips for Face, Upper Lip, Chin & Cheek:
I got this to wax my ladystach. I’d been getting it done at salons, but I found this at a drug store for $2.49, so I picked it up. I am so glad I did. It’s made from honey so it doesn’t harm my skin. I like how I got two sizes in the box – I can use for different parts of my face then. I heat it up with a hair dryer for a quick second and that gives a nice grip on my hair. Pulls out hair in one tug and DOESN’T HURT! I also love the soothing gel it comes with. I wish I could buy that separately because it’s amazing. I use it even after I go to the salon for my brows and bikini area. It has a nice cooling effect, not sticky or oily, and doesn’t make me break out at all. I love these Surgi-Wax strips! I would recommend these to everyone!

This facial waxing product works as good as everyone said it would. I waxed my upper lip and after a few tries, it took all of the hair off. The only negative is the wax broke me out, but that also happened when I had it done at a salon, so that is obviously just my reaction to the wax. There are enough strips to last forever. EDIT: I had to stop using this because it was ripping my upper lip to shreds! I thought I was going to have scars from the skin being ripped off. And I couldn’t get the wax off my face once I was done no matter what I used, so that was kind of gross. I have to change my rating because of these problems.

i tried these strips last night for the first time on my upper lip. i have very dark hair that i have never been able to remove with wax myself, but i was at sallys and this was so cheap i figured why not. the strips really grabbed the hair and pulled it out, and the aloe gel was nice. some of the sticky did stay on my lip, but it removed with a little toner. i was amazed that as much hair as i took off, there was little redness too. very happy overall. will definately be trying some other ardell waxing products!

NO TWEEZE WAX
works great. apply a little where you want to remove hair, press down and pull in opposite direction. Works great and a little goes a long way. easy for getting “precision” eyebrows. Have used this product for years. Sculpting your brows has never been made so easy!
