This is maybe my HG foundation! I honestly didn’t expect this to be so good despite all its hype in Asia. I wanted to try this out because it’s winter in Hong Kong and my combination skin is starting to get dry no matter how much I prep my skin before foundation.
I have a few blemishes at the moment but I only have to use a small amount to get decent coverage without looking mask-like and my natural skin still shows through (unlike Korean brands BB cushions. I’m looking at you Sulwhasoo). Its true to its claims regarding moisturising without feeling my skin is being suffocated because only a small amount is needed. It needs to be set with powder, but it’s not a big deal since I do it with almost every liquid foundation except for Revlon Colorstay.
I’m NC25 and shade no.23 matches my skin pretty well.
Pros:
– Buildable medium to high coverage
– moisturising
– natural looking
– doesn’t crease or settle into fine lines
– easy to use (just a few swipes with the sponge it comes with)
– easy to blend with its sponge (swipe on face, then pat it in)
– has essences that claim to be whitening, anti-aging and moisturising
– has spf 35 PA++ (meaning it has some form of protection against UVA&UVB)
– doesn’t break me out
– decent price (HK$260 at Watson’s for the pact with a refill)
Cons:
– only comes in two shades (21 & 23, like most Korean brands)
– might be too moisturising in summer
– might have flashback in flash photography
