It is hard to get a nice lather from this soap but it smells pleasant to my nose. I like that it has elderberries in it but that’s about it. Probably pass on repurchasing again. It doesn’t dry out my skin or break me out.

I’m glad I got this as a free mini size, because I wouldn’t even buy it if I found this at Dollar Tree. First of all, it smells very heavy and exactly like two things: natural cough syrup/cough drops, and cheap potpourri from the dollar store. Not all elderberry/elderflower scents are so cheap and perfumey, so IDK why Lush went that route. Second of all, for a low-lathering soap, it sure is drying. I do enjoy the gummy, pliable texture of the soap, but that’s about it. Oh, and a third thing – I hate how Lush ships all their products individually wrapped in plastic! Sooo much unnecessary plastic waste. Unlike other plastics, the crinkly stuff that Lush uses isn’t reusable and isn’t accepted by many recycling centers. A beeswax coated paper would be a step up.

I loved this soap as did my boyfriend. The scent is lovely and it wears nice. It lasted for about a month with continues uses. It didn’t dry out my hands and mind you this is winther time. If you are curious about lush soaps this would be a nice one too try out.

As far as Lush soaps go, this to me is just an okay product. It contains and supposedly smells like elderberries/elderflowers, though I don’t get that from the scent. Lush describes it as a “light and fresh scent”, but I find it to be the opposite – kind of heavy. I also find that it lathers a lot less than other Lush soaps, making it a little inconvenient to use (but probably no less effective in cleaning). I’m working on using it up right now, but I wouldn’t repurchase.

Amazing smelling soap that leaves skin feeling silky smooth. Lathers well and gives you a nice clean feeling after. Contains natural and soothing ingredients.

Respect your elders is a lush soap that contains:rapeseed oil, coconut oil, elder flower infusion, olibanum oil, cypress oil, bergamot oil, elderberries, buchu oil. It smells like elderberries and bergamot oil with a little olibanum oil as well. It lathers well in the hand less on a wash cloth. Love it!
