My go to hand cream! Super hydrating and in love with the beautiful scent.

My experience with this body balm was rather disappointing – the brand is pretty hyped up and very expensive, so I had high expecations. I found that it only delivered a light amount of moisture for my relatively dry skin, and was mostly absorbed really quickly, but not without leaving a waxy feeling on my skin. The packaging, which many people seem to appreciate a lot, I found impractical and in the end it was pretty uncomfortable trying to squeeze the metal tube to get the rest out of it. The smell was pleasant, but for that price, I expect more than that.

I’m in love with the fragrance of this body balm (a warm vanilla, earthy sandal wood and uplifting hint of tangerine) although the price for the big pump bottle made my eyes water (£67!). I’ve thought I’ve misheard the shop assistant!
Talking of shop assistants – I have nothing but compliments about the staff at the company’s Edinburgh shop in Stockbridge – very knowledgeable and helpful. I was previously buying Aesop’s products from their London stores (one near Carnaby and the other one in Covent Garden) and I found the people there very aloof and unable to have a normal human conversation unless you bought something. Not the ladies in Edinburgh, where I had an exceptional customer experience – I’ll be back despite the prices of the products I was also given several samples which is almost unheard of in Scotland.
Let’s get back to the product itself. It is quite a sweet fragrance so if you are not into that sort of perfume, give it a wide berth. I would treat it as any other perfumed body balm (although Byredo is almost half the price!) especially that it is not that effective on my very dry skin – it sinks right in and smells gorgeous but it is not hydrating enough for my shins and elbows. That is why a lippie went down. For that price I was expecting it to be the balm that Margarita used in Bulgakov’s novel!
It is so expensive that I will be cutting it in half with a cheaper, non fragranced body balm from Boots and keeping it away from the main bathroom where I’m sure my son’s girlfriend would be happy to slather it on!
If you think about it as a perfumed lotion – it is ok, but as a body balm for dry skin, I think it is way too light. Good for use in the morning as it sinks right in and leaves a beautiful aroma on the skin. Might venture out and repurchase when it finishes.

I got a sample of this so I can’t really complain about the price, but the smell is awful! It’s left me with a headache and feeling sick to my stomach. I’ve had two showers and I can still smell it. Yuck!!

This stuff smells like heaven!!! Love the formula, which leaves my skin feeling silky soft. Love the adorable tube packaging. But by far the best thing is the scent! It smells like an herbal orange creamsicle. That may sound strange, but it’s amazing. I want to bathe in it! <3

This is the most luxurious and beautifully scented moisturiser. Warm and woody with a hint of tangerine, which isn’t overpowering in the slightest. It is great for the winter time, though I don’t think it goes the miles for drier areas such as knees, elbows etc. This is definitely not the cheapest moisturiser though I have a friend working at Aesop who is kind enough to share her staff discount with me. As a uni student, I don’t think I could part with the money for this full price, but for 50% off, why not!

This body cream is absolutely divine. The scent is a gorgeous mix of vanilla, sandalwood and tangerine – quite a unique combination that makes me feel both comforted and uplifted.
The quality of this Aesop formula far surpasses many other body creams I have tried. This absorbs quickly, doesn’t leave an oily finish on my skin, and moisturises for hours and hours. Best of all, it is very natural and full of essential oils.
I have nearly finished my first tube, and have already bought another! I wouldn’t want to face winter without this cream 🙂

I have tried many body moisturisers for my fairly dry skin and this is undoubtedly the best. It is quite heavy and requires some rubbing in when applied, but it gives my skin noticeable softness for the entire day. The heavenly scent lingers for at least six hours after application, though I do not find it overpowering. The only downside is that it is rather pricey. Because I haven’t found anything nearly as good, and since cheaper creams tend to sink into my skin with no lasting moisturisation, I can justify the expense.

I love this body lotion- the scent is heavenly, the texture creamy. However I have found that my skin has absorbed all of the moisture within a few hours, also it’s very pricey.

This is a must have for me. I have been using this twice a day for two weeks and it has helped reduce cellulite on my thighs, I no longer have any vivisble psoriasis on my body and I look much healthier. This is a product I cant be without!!! Also I have it in the 500mL pump pack and it much better than in the glass jar as I am really clumsy!
