This colour works great for me and I have been repurchasing this several times. I have light neutral-cool skin and blonde hair and find that this colour works well for me applied more sheerly (when applied sheerly, the brightness of the shade is more diffused which I prefer). Contrary to the description of this color on NYX’s website, this colour actually looks like a warm bright coral shade in the tube, but once applied, settles into a more neutral bright coral pink tone.

I have no problem with saturated, bright lipsticks, but this color just doesn’t work for me unless I blot it. Full on, it’s a frosty cool-toned pinkish red, like a light magenta. Blotted, this color warms up and looks a bit more coral on the lips.
I own at least 10 of these NYX Round Lipsticks, and compared to the others I’ve tried, Rose is particularly soft. If you apply it with a heavy hand, the lipstick can smear or squish or even shift sideways inside the tube. Way too much of it goes on the lips when directly applied. Your best bet is to use a lip brush, or just be careful and light when applying it.
Like all NYX Round Lipsticks, it can feel slippery on the lips and the staying power is shade dependent. Rose, once blotted and dry, has decent staying power. If you wear it heavy, it comes off really fast because it never dries. Also, just like other shades in this line, the scent and flavor are strong, and to me, taste like the way a dryer sheet smells. If you like the color, the scent is tolerable, if you hate the color, the scent is unbearable.
I wouldn’t buy this color again, but since I already own it, it’s one that I can make work for me if I blot it. Otherwise, it’s not getting worn.

I bought this color along with a bunch of other NYX Round lipsticks from Ulta last year. The color on my tube says “Rose” and the number is LSS637. When I tried to find this lipstick on the NYX website, however, I saw that they had changed the name to “Rosey” and they describe it as blue toned pink-red (pearl). I think they probably did that since they now have a Rose color in their black label collection. In all, I think the NYX description is pretty accurate. It is a cool pink-red, but not really fuchsia which is a lot more purple in my opinion. It is also very bright! So if you are not into bright colors that say “here I am”, this is not the color for you, unless you plan to dab it on very lightly like some of the reviewers below. I personally love bright colors, especially on weekend summer nights, so I have no problem with the color and I typically wear it full on. I even like the pearly finish cause it gives it an opalescent quality. My only qualm with this lipstick, and all the Nyx round lipsticks for that matter, is the texture and finish, hence why I took off two lippies. It is way too creamy and doesn’t seem to adhere very well to my lips. I have to use a ton of lip liner and blot like crazy after putting it on. Sometimes I even take my finger and rub in the lipstick to give it a more natural finish. Also, I find that it can smear outside your lip line quite easily and look very messy (especially after eating or drinking).
However, overall, it’s a pretty fun color and at a great price! And in all honesty, there is usually maintenance involved with any bright or bold color – even with the high end brands.
I just ordered the Nyx Black Label lipstick in Rose. From the website, it seems like a much lighter and natural color compared to the Round lipstick in Rose (now Rosey). I will post a review on that as soon as I test it out. Stay tuned……

Overall I quiet like NYX lipstick.
Pros:
– Cheap
– Lots of color to choose from
– Nicely pigmented
– creamy – goes on easily
Cons
– Doesn’t last, goes off easily
– doesn’t moisturize and dries out lips. – apply lip blam before and after does help
Favorite colours: Rose, Spell bound and Indian pink
Colours that not flattering: Watermelon.

Love this lipstick. It’s moisterising and doesn’t flake or sink into the lines on my lips. The color is so pretty. I like to dab a little on my lips and blend it with my fingers

Perfect for every skin tone. You just have to dab a little as it can be too red. Matte red colour with a hint of pink, it moisturises well despite of its cheap price and as to my surprise, I find it more beautiful as it is fading away as the colour turns into your natural lips colour.

By looking swatches on the web, I thought this will be warm red colour, but on my lips it turned out to be cold hot pink.
It’ creamy, but not as creamy as Tea Rose for example. It stays quite long on lips, and overall i like it, it is nice pink wearable color.

I loved this color in tube and on my hand, but, to my surprise, Rose turned extremely cold pink, almost fuchsia, on my lips. I’m very much disappointed with this. Maybe it’s because my lips are pigmented and the formula of this lipstick is sheer. I swatched it on my hand with other pinks from NYX, and it looks so pretty… oh well, it’s definitely not for me…

Meh, this doesn’t look good on my fair to medium complexion. It is a very bright pink color with a hit of coral. It’s too bright for my liking. And contrary to the reviewers below, I don’t find it to be sheer at all. It’s quite pigmented on me (but my lips are very pale). I bought it online and I was disappointed when I got it. But of course I can’t blame the lipstick for not going well with my complexion after buying it without having ever seen it. So yeah, not rating it down because of that. I do like the NYX round lipsticks a lot, just not this color. So the lippies I gave it are for the price, formula and staying power.

I agree, its great on fair skin (i’m an NC20) – looks really bright in the tube but applies sheer and light. Quite good staying power and unlike many other cheapies, does not stain. The only problem is the cheap chemical taste and smell. Great spring colour and alternative for red.
