I have short, thick, straight hair. my scalp is oily while the actual body of my hair is dry from color processing. i never thought a volumizing shampoo could be so moisturizing and gentle. this gives my hair body and texture without leaving me frizzy and crisp. the sea salt doesn’t dry out my hair. in fact it’s very balancing for my scalp oil. never thought I would ever use anything other than their shampoo bars much less a shampoo that comes in a pot but I’m sold!

I really like this shampoo. It smells good and claims to do what it’s supposed to. It cleans really well and gives me volume (even though not as much volume as BIG). I still like it because it doesn’t dry out my hair and it’s a shampoo i can use frequently. Plus it doesn’t cause hair fallout. As far as shine goes, I noticed more shine with BIG vs. this one. For everyday use this is good though so I will repurchase.

The fact that this has just about every ingredient I’ve been told to avoid in my hair, made me want to try it (of course). It’s not formulated for my dry, curly, frizzy hair-type, but I think it’s wonderful anyways. A pinch lathers like crazy and the lather makes it extremely easy to get shampoo throughout my hair without tangling it up. I am very surprised that this doesn’t dry my hair to a crisp. It definitely adds body, and it’s great for an occasional deep cleanse. If I had oily hair I’d use this all the time because I love the lemony scent and the texture of this shampoo. Paired with Happy Happy Joy Joy this makes my hair smell incredible.

I have my Lush favs and this is one of them!!! I’ve tried a lot of Lush products and they’re hit or miss. For example I bought Big which is another Lush hair product and after using it for a little bit just didn’t live up to my expectations. However this one does!!! Truly cleans my scalp and gives my hair the nicest bounce, Whether I blow dry it or leave it naturally curly. I will forever repurchase!!

I received this little miracle in a pot for Christmas from my daughter. I love it’s smell of fresh lemons,I have fine flat greasy hair and have spent years and lots of money trying to find a shampoo that lives up to their claims of giving body and bounce to fine hair. Well I have finally found it in this little pot! A little goes along way so it’ll last a long while and give good value for money. This is only my second day of using jersey bounce and I can’t believe the difference in my hair, my hair is not a greasy mess by the end of the day and still looks full and bouncy I really didn’t need to wash it this morning which I was amazed at as I have extremely greasy hair that needs to be washed every day! This is my new HG shampoo I can’t recommend it highly enough as I said earlier it’s a miracle in a pot!!!

I don’t think I have ever repurchased a shampoo twice until this one, I’ve already got it three time. It works really well for me. For reference, I have dark hair, oily scalp, bleached ends, fine to normal – not too fine but not normal hair either and I tend to flat iron my hair more than I should.
Why I like this shampoo you ask? Compared to other shampoos I’ve tried, this one doesn’t make my hair look fine or limpy but rather healthy, full and fluffy. My hair is not as greasy/oily as it use to be, I use my dry shampoo way less than I use to – before it was 3 times a week, now it’s once a week or less. The most important thing, it does not strip out my hair color as bad as other shampoos. I mean, yes it does strip but I feel like other shampoos I’ve tried are way worse including countless color-protection ones. I also prefer this one over Lush Big.
P.S. The combination of Lush Jersey Bounce and Catwalk Fashionista Brunette Shampoo works perfect for me. Whenever I feel like my balyage is getting lighter than I like, I use the Catwalk shampoo instead.

My hair type: 2c/3a waves/curls
Packaging: I hate it. I hate having to stick my fingers in and how water always seems to get inside no matter how careful I am.
Price: Super expensive. $20 for shampoo is not cheap for me.
Smell: I personally love the scent of this. It’s a combination of floral and light citrus that makes me feel like I’m taking a shower in paradise.
Texture: Feels like a salt scrub, not surprising since salt is in it. Works okay as a scalp exfoliator.
Pros:
– Smell
– Cleaned hair very well
Cons:
– SLS/SLES
– Dried my hair out
– Price
– Packaging
– It separates easily
Wouldn’t buy it, glad I only used samples of it.

I bought this shampoo “casually”: they had an after Christmas sale at my local Lush and Jersey Bounce was 50% off – best casual purchase of my life! Since december I kept repurchasing it. There is nothing I dislike about it – except the fact it is a bit pricey. The smell is lovely and my hair just LOVES it – I don’t know whether it is the honey, the eggs, the lemon or the salt – probably the overall combination, but it just makes my thin, wavy hair instantly thicker, bouncy and gorgeous. I also noticed an improvement in terms of the condition of my hair over time: since I have been using this my scalp seems way happier! The other thing I love about this shampoo is that it definitely reduced the amount of times I feel like I need to wash my hair – from 3 times a week to 2. Apart from avoiding the hassle of washing my hair often, this is also a plus because a pot goes a loooong way – I think I used 3 in the past 7 months. I recommended this to all my friends and I do recommend this to y’all – it is definitely a Lush fave.

I used to like LUSH’s Big shampoo, but it seemed like it got reformulated (lots of smaller salt granules?) and it started making my hair fall out like crazy. Jersey Bounce seems really similar to Big, with the salt and the promise of shine and volume. Jersey is more of a gooey gel consistency with larger salt chunks, though, and it smells like fresh lemons and saltwater. It’s really just like Big, but with lemons and more gel added.
Jersey and Big both seem like clarifying shampoos to me. They strip out the oil from my hair and leave it very, very clean. If I use them two days in a row, they make my hair feel like straw and it starts falling out in clumps. I try to keep them out of the ends of my hair (and slather on conditioner before I shampoo to really protect the ends of my hair), and not let them sit on my hair for too long.
Jersey makes my hair squeaky clean, it smells like lemon, and it makes my hair look lighter (which I hate). Really seems to strip the moisture and oil out of my hair, which is only good if my hair is super greasy for some reason. I feel like it makes my hair fall out too, which is never a good thing.
The high amount of sulfates, fragrance and lemon juice in this product just makes my hair and scalp really unhappy.

I love LUSH, and given how many people in the store who saw me buying this shampoo raved about it, I was ready to love this shampoo too.
However, it makes my hair fall out. I can’t find anyone else online with this same issue but the moment this stuff hits my head, my hair starts falling out! I pull clumps out as I’m rinsing it out, and it continues to fall out and get all over my body and wrapped around my fingers as I go though the rest of my shower routine.
I have tried this a few different times just to make sure that it really is the shampoo and not something else, but on the days in between using Jersey Bounce my hair loss is infrequent and just the normal occasional hair on my shirt. I have since switched to their seanik shampoo bar and my hair has stopped falling out. My hair is not dyed or dry.
Weird reaction and I know I sound crazy but there it is. If you have fine hair, I would proceed with caution. If you’re looking for volume and shine I’ve had better luck with the Seanik shampoo bar.
