I really love this cleanser! It’s a cleanser I haven’t tried before.
Description 100% free from – Synthetics, GMO, Fillers, synthetic fragrance. Proud to be made in Vermont, no animal testing, cruelty free, and AVA american vegan.
Broccoli extract to help reduce impurities and toxins from the skin, Fennel anti-inflammatory and soothing, Tumeric helps breaks down toxin build-up, Foaming sugar molecules cleanse dirt and debris from pores by gentle exfoliating.
Pros:
– The smell is out of this world! I can smell the turmeric and fennel.
– It really cleanses my skin very well and so gentle.
– Makeup comes off easily and it does not leave a residue.
– A little goes a long way.
Cons:
– The only bad thing with this one is the price. It’s $75 CAD which is a bit pricey for a cleanser.
Tip: Will buy on a Sephora discount day, if I have a gift card or want to splurge on a spa day.

I had extremely high expectations for this product but unfortunately I broke out severely when using it. I thought it could be other factors but each time I used it, a bad breakout followed. Also the pump broke almost immediately. Sad to say-but I would never recommend this.

One of my favorite cleansers for those moments when my skin feels a bit congested and grubby. It thoroughly cleanses without stripping the skin. It’s definitely one of the less drying clay cleansers I’ve tried and much more gentle on my skin than Sunday Riley’s Ceramic Slip, which basically turned my cheeks into little deserts. I have sensitive skin prone to redness and this didn’t aggravate at all. Wish it were cheaper.

The packaging and texture (no foam or whatsoever) are the only good things about this cleanser, furthermore it is a total waste of money. The scent is so powerful that I got severe teary eyes for days and eventually weeks. In the end my doctor even suspected Sjögren’s syndrome, but luckily I found out myself that it was ‘only’ the Tata Harper Purifying Cleanser!!!
Threw it away immediately, despite the ridiculous price. I am not even going to wash my feet with it anymore.
I also expect that the breakouts I got, since owning the TH cleanser, will go away. Strong scents can do a lot of damage to your skin. Even if you have great skin.
I do not believe that this is a completely organic brand. The rejuvenating serum (see my review on that one) also has this overwhelming and unnecessary scent. I do not have any allergies at all, but since I owned (past tense) 2 Tata Harper products I now know I have a Tata Harper product allergy. As an organic comparison; I also use May Lindstrom products, and I do not have any problems at all with these.

When I first started getting into “natural” skincare, tata harper seemed the obvious choice for high end luxury products. At $72 CAN I was definitely expecting more. The consistency i actually liked, its a cream texture that doesn’t foam. However this leaves a film on your face even after rinsing. And i noticed I was getting small bumps all over my face, I think due to all the oils in this cleanser. Not a great choice for sensitive acne prone skin.

This cleanser is marketed towards sensitive skin, but I do not think this product particularly suitable for sensitive skin. This is not irritating, but it is also not very effective at cleansing. I do not like the texture which fails to take away the oil on my face. This does nothing to help with my mascara removal at the end of the day. I think this product is extremely overpriced and not very effective.

Love the scent. Like a light orange dreamsicle.
This calms the redness in my face. I noticed that the first time I washed with it. So that makes it great in my book. Does it’s job to clean my face and doesn’t dry it out.
I use this as a second cleanse. I wouldn’t use any pricey cleanser to remove makeup. I use Bioderma when I get home to remove my makeup and use this in my rotation with Sunday Riley to wash my face before bed.

I wanted to love this product, especially because it was quite an indulgent treat. And there are a lot of things that I love about it. I like the smell. It is really good at removing makeup, yet it doesn’t strip my skin and leaves it nice and moisturized. It doesn’t aggravate my redness like most cleansers do. What’s not to love then (aside from the price)? It breaks me out on the cheeks. That’s weird because I tend to break out a bit on my jaw line, not cheeks. I really persisted to finish the bottle, giving my skin breaks with other cleansers. And sure enough, every time I went back to Tata’s cleanser the weird cheek breakouts came back. I thought maybe my skin was just purging, but my bottle is almost empty and the pesky zits continue. With all the ingredients it’s hard to say what the culprit is.

I am an esthetician and was lucky to try the whole Tata Harper line before purchasing anything. I really love this cleanser because it’s refreshing, detoxifying and doesn’t have detergent as its active ingredient, instead it contains pomegranate enzymes, bergamot, grapefruit, neroli, pink French clay and salicylic acid from tree bark. It can even be used to remove eye makeup without irritation. The smell is absolutely divine! We were advised to cleanse twice with the cleanser and twice with the exfoliant (Regenerating Cleanser) – this gets a good glow going on the skin and prepares it for extraction (exfoliant has the exact same formula but with ground apricot seed and can be used with Clarisonic).
Other products that I love that are not yet reviewed: mask is incredibly refreshing (pink French clay provides beautiful detox, pomegranate, tangerine, chamomile), body oil (Vitamins A-E plus omega 3 and lipids) and their new elixir vitae serum (contains Spanish lavender which is a natural form of botox) is very plumping. Cleanser, exfoliant and mask smell amazing and will leave your skin fresh and glowing like you just had a facial!
While impressed with their natural/organic/vegan/anti-aging concept with not a single drop of synthetic chemicals whatsoever, I find the fragrance in many of their products overpowering (with the exception of the above products) – a lot of their products have chamomile, frankincense, neroli, geranium – for me it’s an unpleasant smell. If you are sensitive to fragrance (although completely natural), you may want to try samples before purchasing.

I really love this cleanser! It really cleanses my skin very well without stripping it of the natural oils. The smell is fantastic, like grapefruit, fresh but not overpowering. It does not lather and I like it that way, it feels more gentle. Makeup comes of easilly and it does not leave a residue. You don`t need to use much eather. I do dubblecleanse my face in the eavnings but I do that no mather what cleanser I use. The only bad thing with this one is the price… It leaves my wallet screaming :). But it is a priority and I will buy this again.
