This essence is less like an essence/toner for me, and more like a moisturizer. The texture is like a light, watery cream and for my combo-oily skin this is just enough moisture in spring/fall, or even summer nights. It`s so rich and hydrating that my skin hardly needs an additional moisturizer. I got this as a sample in Seoul and went out and bought the full sample. Have to agree with a previous reviewer of the emulsion of the same line: the packaging IS annoying, to say the least. While I love a lot of Skinfood products, I really wish the company would stop using the heavy glass bottles which are impractical, hard for travelers like myself, and often difficult to get out all the product towards the end. Having said that, this essence is a staple for me. I always purchase when I`m in Korea.
