The Sunchaser palette is a limited edition palette that contains one of Becca’s bestselling highlighters in Opal [white gold with pink pearl], the Sunlit bronzer in the shade Ipanema Sunset [medium tan with olive undertones] and a limited edition shade of mineral blush – Apricot Blossom [matte coral]. The pans are half the size of their individual product compact sizes [4g each vs 8g for full sized products].
Okay, I’ll start with the best part of the palette for me and go down to the ‘meh’ end; the blush shade is gorgeous and is something that I think would work for most skintones as it applies sheer, but is easily buildable. Considering that the bronzer is the second deepest shade that Becca makes, I was a bit surprised that it does work pretty well on my fair warmer-side-of-neutral skintone – but I do need to be careful with application and blending. I only bought this palette as I’ve been wanting to try the Opal highlighter for a while and this palette is currently halfh-price [QVC UK] and is much cheaper then buying the highlighter alone, but it turned out to be the weakest link; it is ever-so-slightly too deep and warm on my fair skin and needs careful application/buffing, which then just mutes a fair amount of the light reflecting properties.
I don’t dislike the product formulas in theory, as everything wears well, doesn’t irritate my skin and doesn’t highlight pores etc. Plus the price-per-gram-of-product is decent and I’ll continue to use it now that I have it. However I’d never rebuy this palette, since the bronzer and highlight are fiddly – if you have light-and-warm or medium skin, then the shades will all look great on you. Those of us with fair and deep skintones [the bronze and possibly the blush are too light] need to keep looking, I’m afraid.

Becca is a brand that I find to be at least decent, if not spectacular in areas such as packaging, quality, and performance. I hardly ever buy anything without research and swatching in-store, but have bought many becca products blindly and was disappointed only once because the product came open during shipping.
So, I got this palette as I love the blushed with light palette and hoped the sunchaser would be similar. The palette itself is exactly like all other Becca palettes: although plastic, it is well made and feels luxurious. The mirrored lid opens slightly past 180 degrees and stays open at whatever angle you leave it at. I find the Becca palettes the nicest to work out of because they don’t flop around or try to close on themselves. There is a total weight of 12.1g / 0.42 oz in the palette, not a fantastic amount, but enough to make it worthy (if they cut the price in half like they did for the blushed in light I will be so very upset…)
The apricot shade looks coral in pictures but seems more pink on my skin tone. The bronzer has, to me, a bit of pink in it as well, and sweeped with or over the apricot makes a natural looking blush. And I absolutely love becca’s highlighters because I think their reflective glittery chunks are micro pulverized and therefore blends and doesn’t blind anyone. The pigment level is about a medium, just thought I’d mention that, I am keeping in mind this is meant to make my face glow akin to good health and time spent outdoors, and not look flushed. This palette is definitely for both those who like to dabble in every color all at once, and for those who prefer dipping into each color individually. Any two or all three blended offers a variety of tones without looking asky or muddy. I uploaded an awm swatch in the pictures that show the three colors of the blushed with light palette, wisteria, songbird and snapdragon, and ipanema sunset, apricot blossom and opal from the sunchaser. I may go back and show some sampling of blends, after I play with the palette some more. I also find this similar in function to the mally shimmer shape and glow palette, I got one recently and it’s the new palette in rectangular pans (not round). The similarities lie in effect but the Becca offers more colot payoff than the mally.
