Completely agree with the other reviewers. This is a complete non-event of a highlighter. However, I have found a very good alternative use for it. I have dry, fair skin, and this works well as a finishing powder for me. So if you’re looking for a cheap, dewy looking powder to finish off your makeup, then I actually would recommend this. Still, however, wouldn’t buy it again, as I have other good high-end powders, which perform better and have nicer packaging.

Just. Don’t.
I’ve never felt the need to actually create an account on this app in order to leave a warning to people thinking of buying a product.
I’ve had mostly good experiences with Essence products, I use their felt tip liner and their face contouring powder set and am happy with both. So I purchased this highlighter yesterday without swatching it and when I used it this morning I stood there wondering what I was doing wrong – it’s almost like it wasn’t making contact with my skin at all. The bits of shimmer you see in the pan must be some kind of optical illusion, because they do not show up on your skin. And I started getting reckless with the product to make sure because I don’t have any important appointments today. Don’t waste your money. There are better products at slightly higher price points.

This is so bad I can’t even..
I always had excellent experiences with Essence’s pressed powders, and use their translucent one on a daily basis with remarkable results. I can’t tell the same about many other products of this brand – while I adore their Extreme mascara in the pink tube and their nail polishes, it’s been a huge “meh” on basically everything else avaiable in town. It used to be better I’d dare to say.
But this highlighter..damn, it’s crazy terrible. It looks light pink with a hint of glitter, the box is the usual cheap plastic but I really don’t mind, but troubles started at the first swatch: I could barely see it, not even if I pressed hard. I was like “Okay, let’s try this in the daylight” except it was even worse! This doesn’t highlight anything, unless you expect to be covered in senseless glitter that spread around your face without following any original brush application. I tried with many different brushes, including the omnia-working fan brush (I got a new one and I’m slaughtering it on a daily basis hehe) but nothing picks it up, and it falls out like crazy. Like crazy I said. All over my bathroom sink and clothes and everything.
Oh yeah, and did I mention it doesn’t highlight anything? The natural glow of my face does way better, not to mention a sweaty, post work-out appeareance.
I mean, this is unforgivable even for the 3,79 euros I paid for it. I wouldn’t give it 5 cents honestly. I don’t think I’ll even try it as eyeshadow because I’m afraid it will ruin my cat eye with all that glitter weirdness.
Really not recommended!
