Gorgeous shade. Everyone’s monitor is different, but the picture looks dead-on for how mine looks in the tube. This has a moisturizing shine that feels heavenly and gives a little depth to this gorgeous wearable red. It’s a deep maroon tempered with a little nudey-pinky-brown, and the signature rose scent that Lancôme is famous for makes it special. The Rouge in Love line has great packaging, and the silver toned tube has a nice heft to it. This is somewhat reminiscent of the Black Honey shade by Clinique, but far more opaque and long-wearing, and leaves a nice berry-red stain on the lips. It glides on like satin and isn’t drying — the formula is fabulous. I can see this being flattering on a multitude of complexions. This is a splurge for me, but I’m loving that it’s in my rotation!

Jolie Rosalie is as very wearable, warm berry-wine color. It actually looks exactly like Clinique’s Black Honey lippy, only more opaque and much longer lasting. Black Honey is sheerer and glossier, and needs to be reapplied often. Jolie Rosalie is creamy, satin-matte and longwearing (5-6 hours, then leaves a nice berry stain on lips). Totally gorgeous color! Easy to wear ….I apply straight from the tube, no lipliner …. it doesn’t need it. It doesn’t feather or bleed. It’s both soft and bold at the same time. If you like Black Honey but wish it was longer wearing, try Jolie Rosalie! 🙂
