I love this scrub. It’s gentle and makes my skin instantly smoother. It smells like a smoothie too.

love it. iIt’s a solid bar with little almond shells that are revealed when you get it wet. it’s rough but it feels amazing when you rub it all over and after you rinse it off your skin is soft and not at all greasy.

I using scrub. A definite HG. One reviewer described the texture as marmalade-like; I think that’s right on. It means it’s easy to spread and stays put while the enzymes do their business. Then you can gently massage and the scrubbies go to work. It leaves my face feeling soft and smooth and looking clean and bright. About the packaging: I don’t have it in a jar; I have a medium-size tube of it that was probably part of a kit. It’s perfect for the shower, but I can understand why the jar would be annoying.

been using this on/off for ten years. Its a gentle scrub for sensitive skin that visibly brightens and smooths my skin. My biggest gripe is the switch from a jar to a tube, and then, the little price increases over the years, but then, again, perhaps its inflation. this is def safer for ur skin that the st. ives scrub. I use this for reg exfoliation within a broader skin routine.

I have rather sensitive skin that doesn’t take to scrubs very well. However, the sparse grains in this face polish gives just the right amount of exfoliation without turning my skin raw. Do note this isn’t for you if you are a fan of extremely scrubby face exfoliators. Sometimes, for a better scrubbing experience (forgive me, words seem to fail me today), I mix in a bit of Origins Modern Friction (used alone, this turns my skin red and angry) or Dermalogica’s exfoliating powder and I get a much better scrub. As my skin is incredibly sensitive, I can only get away with doing this once every fortnight, while using Never A Dull Moment alone on a weekly basis does my skin wonders. I also acid tone every two nights and use Alpha H’s Liquid Gold once a week, and this combination gives me relatively zit-free skin.

I got this scrub as as part of a “spa treatment/pamper” gift, which I received many high end skincare products. I was really excited because I like how natural Origins products are and have heard a lot of good reviews about the company and quality of its products. Firstly the good points, I love the smell! It reminds me of a popsicle I used to eat when I was younger in the sense that its very fruity. Not artificially but naturally like I was applying fresh fruit to my face. I like the consistency of it, its quite thick and has small grains in it, which moves on to what I don’t really like about it. I feel as though there are not enough grains for it to exfoliate my whole face, I find myself having to add bits from another scrub to make up for the consistency I like. I guess it would be perfect for someone who has sensitive skin because the grains are sparse and its not too rough. Personally I like a scrub that feels like its at work and I do not see a difference after use or even after a few uses. I do not reach for this product often and tend to only use it if I am out of my favourite scrub or to remind myself of its smell because it smells so good! Unfortunately, I would not buy a second tube because its just not for me I would like to try some more origins products though!

My skin: I have rosacea on my nose, which makes the skin there very red and sensitive. My nose also tends to get dehydrated and flaky. The rest of my face is normal, with some impurities on the cheeks.
The important thing to remember here is that this scrub is meant to make your skin glow. Personally I have sensitive skin and the grains in the scrub feel a bit harsh (I usually water it down to make it more gentle). However, it does a great job in “brightening” my skin, I personally love using it during the winter months where my skin has a tendency to get a bit dull and lifeless. This is also great for smokers, or if you’re going out and want a bit of extra “oomph!”. The only reason I won’t repurchase is because I have such sensitive skin that I prefer to use a primer or brightening serum to get glowing.

I first had this way back in 2002 and back then it was a HG for me, even though pricey. Many years later I thought I would repurchase it as it always made my skin look brighter and much more refreshed after using it (and removing with a washcloth which really helps to avoid the stickiness.) The tube is better for me than the tub as I used to get too much water in it when I took it in the shower with me. But the tube is very difficult to squeeze any product out of (I can live with it though, not a dealbreaker.) I still get the brightening effect whenever I use this, and although the effect doesn’t last, using this product does make my skin feel like every last trace of makeup or dirt has been removed. I do like this product a lot but I am hesitant to repurchase firstly because the brightening effects don’t last, and secondly because Paula Begoun’s review said that it had damaging oils in and was not recommended. Her reviews tend to exaggerate the damaging effects of plant oils (in my opinion) so this is just a minor reason why I wouldn’t repurchase. As I get older I find that harsher products react more with my skin and I am am concerned that the gritty particles (although small) may be too rough for my increasingly sensitive skin. If this product was just a smooth paste without the grit, then I would definitely repurchase.

THIS IS A HG SCRUB. I USE IT WHEN I DEPEND ON LOOKING MY BEST AND GETTING A GLOW FOR SURE. IT IS THICK AND REALLY EMBRACES YOUR FACE. THIS ONE DOES NOT DISAPPOINT!

Really great scrub, its more of an enzyme treatment..This is great to dissolve dry flakey skin, I usually use this after a TCA peel or retina a treatments to make sure all my dead skin is dissolved and off. The smell is divine and fruity papaya..
Little trick I like to do is mix some of this paste with Lemon juice (from the lemon)..It enhances the enzymes of this scrub.
