Finally, a cute, economical lipstick that perfectly matches me! I am a very yellow medium tone and the shade “Forbidden Love” is exactly my lip color, just intensified. It’s a beautiful rosy brown that I could wear daily. It looks a lot more brown in the tube but appears pinkish on the lips. It’s a creamy consistency, somewhere right in the middle of being a gloss and a matte.
I have dry lips and I didn’t have any problems with this lipstick as I slathered my usual balm & oil before putting this on, but keep in mind that it has quite a fragrance! It vaguely smells like crayons. Or some really old school makeup. It might be distracting for some, but it wasn’t really noticeable when already applied.
I got this product at a Buy 1 Get 1 promo from a local online store for 50.000 IDR = 3.59 USD for two shades. VERY affordable, just like most products from LA Girl. I also got the shade “Amour” as the randomized free product which is a mauve, brown tone. I have only swatched it on my forearm and am planning on selling it because I don’t really need another lipstick.

I just can’t recommend these. I bought two colors last week and they immediately made my mouth burn and tingle. I’m not sensitive and I wasn’t being rough with my lips when I tried them on. I stepped away from them and tried one of them again just now and the same thing is happening. I usually love most things from L.A. Girl but these are going in the trash..I hate that.

These are amazing! The best $4 I have every spent. I really had very low expectations for this lipstick but was very surprised at how much I love this! It is very creamy and moisturizing yet matte at the same time. Application and packaging is easy and nice and lasts a long time. I only picked up 1 in the shade Snuggle (mauvey/nude color) but will definitely be purchasing more. Totally recommend!

I wish I could have bought all the colors off the rack. But for now sticking to 2 shades; Demure, a lovely coral pink and Kiss and Tell, a brownish nude shade which are both in my purse for day to night looks and touch ups. I get compliments and girls ask what lipstick I use so I guess this economical lipstick is very underrated and deserves more attention. Gotta check when buying; once I had bought one which had no fragrance so it tasted like an old crayon. For its smoothness and richness of color, I forgave the defected product and would still buy again. Finally, a crazy ass lipstick that don’t cost a bomb. Definitely for girls like me who hate gloss or shiny lipstick coz these babies are matte.

These are great lipsticks, great in terms of pigmentation and lasting power. The one downside is the scent. There is a really artificial floral scent to these lipsticks, and it’s disgusting. The colors are really nice though and most are creme finish. I have Infatuation, which looks kind of orangy in the tube, but it’s more red on your lips.

Oh em gee. Where to start? These are incredible! I’m not a lipstick wearer, so I don’t have much experience with higher end/more expensive lipstick, but I don’t think these can be beat. ESPECIALLY for the price. I have these in True Love [a deep fuschia] and rendezvous, a nudey browney pink that pretty much exactly matches my lipcolor [maybe a touch browner. Almost unnoticeable].
Both glide on effortlessly and are very pigmented, particularly True Love. It’s so pigmented it’s dangerous. You know how bright lipsticks are ….either sheer or SO pigmented that you can’t go outside the line at all otherwise you’ll have an impossible to remove stain? Yeah, that’s what this is. And I love that it’s so pigmented, since I feel like harder, sheerer lipsticks are a waste. These are creamy, easy to apply even without lipliner [ughh…I’m lazy] and the color is BEAUTIFUL. They also last a long time, particularly [again] True Love. Neither do they dry out my lips. No giant disco ball glitter or yucky frostiness, which in my experience only emphasizes every line in your lips and makes you look older. Just a delicious satiny matte. Delicious!
Oh, there IS a noticeable plasticky perfume scent. I ignore it. But it’s quite strong.
I want moaarrr!

I also got this in ‘Sexy,’ which is a gorgeous fuschia very similar to True Love but slightly warmer and with the lightest blue shimmer [imperceptible on lips] to it. It is harder than True Love in that it doesn’t pack on a bunch of pigment, but easier to apply because it is smoother and you don’t have to be as careful and is still very pigmented. Topping these off with a gloss keeps your lips hydrated and makes the color last ALL day. Shocker.

These are quite good but unfortunately I picked a pretty unflattering color (Demure, an orangy red) so I don’t love it as much as I might. I got it on cherryculture for three dollars and I would say it’s worth its price but I do think there are better alternatives out there (WnW’s mega last lipstick for example). It has a weird floral/fruity scent that is very artificial and although I’m not that sensitive to scents it does bother me. The lipstick itself is very creamy, very pigmented, it glides on nicely and doesn’t accentuate dry chapped lips. Not a bad product but for three dollars you can get something better.

I bought 6-7 of these one a whim at Cherry Culture after seeing a rave review and after looking at all the great swatches.

These are pretty amazing! The coverage is pretty opaque, what you see is what you get. They all have a creamy formula [no shimmer] and have a slight glossyness to them. They also have a fragrance to them, but no taste. The fragrance is not overpowering or irritating to me, but it’s something to think about. I can’t put my finger on what they exactly smell like either. I don’t know why they felt these needed to have a smell without taste, but I still like them.
They can be a bit dry feeling, but not so bad that I wouldn’t continue to use them 🙂
Edit 01.21.14
I went to go use one of these the other day and ALL of them went bad at the same time. Each had a super strong, crayola crayon smell that was so overpowering, there was no way I could use them. Super sad. I would not repurchase these.

I bought this in Forbidden Love; pink brown MLBB color. It is so creamy and glides on lips effortlessly, very pigmented, don’t know about staying power yet and the packaging is ok. I love this lipstick and what a steal. I bought this for 3 bucks! I was pleasantly surprised and can’t wait to buy more colors. I put this on as soon as I got in my car from the store and I was Wowed! Very prettty color and it feels so moisturizing. I can’t believe the money I have wasted on 20 dollar plus lip products.

How is it that such a cheap lipstick has the wearing power of it’s pricier and more branded counterparts, this lipstick is not only vibrant but it lasts all day. I have recieved beyond so many compliments from this lipstick, i highly recomend it and it is gorgeous is photos.
It’s non-drying and the colour is very pigmented.
Don’t let the drugstore cheapy packaging full you, this is a keeper.
