I had high hopes for this blush. I love the packaging with the rose and the fact it is matte. I thought it would suit my fair cool toned skin. (I’m a NW 15-20). Unfortunately, the colour payoff is very poor . I tried different brushes but could barely see any colour on my skin. (This is the reason for the low rating.) I have a baked Milani blush – Luminoso and the payoff is much better. As a result of the poor pigmentation, I won’t buy it again and I’m throwing it out as I don’t have room for products that don’t work for me.

Gorgeous. It looks really nice on my fair skin and I can sheer it out or use a heavier hand for a more intense look. It is matte, which I like because it’s hard to find in drugstore blushes. It lasts on my face, even when I’m oilier in the summer. It blends nicely and doesn’t look harsh…I just really like this.

I love this Tea Rose shade, for me it’s a very light (maybe even pastel) blue-based pink, not as strongly blue based as another favourite Milani blush of mine – Delizioso Pink in the Baked blush line. Tea Rose is warmer and appears brighter on my skin, and believe it or not, it doesn’t look as natural on my skin tone (yellow-olive pale Asian) as Delizioso Pink. It’s still a very pretty colour, I think it makes me look doll-like and done up. I usually love matte blushes but the finish of this Rose powder line really doesn’t agree with me. I have very textured skin where I’d usually apply blush to, plus a few broken veins showing through the skin and a handful of acne scars. I find that this blush doesn’t go on my skin as smoothly and as flattering as the matte blushes in the Baked line do. It’s more matte – but it’s also more unforgiving on my skin texture. Another problem that I have with the formula of this line is that they hard pan constantly, and not all brushes can pick up the product easily. The rose gets stiff over time and no pigment would come of whether I use a finger or a brush to rub at the surface. I have to use spoolie to scrape off the hardened layer to get to usable product underneath. I’ve had this blush for nearly 2 years now, and most of the petals are so flattened and scratched up, so the initial aesthetics is out of the window. I personally find that bristles of my elf brushes are the best at picking up this product – while other brushes from Real Techniques, BH cosmetics hardly pick up and deposit any colour on the skin.
I prefer the packaging of the Rose powder blushes over the Baked blush – it’s bigger, but I think Milani was being very practical with the clear lid showcasing the beautiful product inside and no nonsense under-compartment with an useless blush. I can’t blame it for being bulky – it does house 17 grams of product after all. I love that I can see through the lid and know right away which colour I want to use. Considering the amount of product we get, I think the price is fair; but I also do think that’s just excessive. I’d rather get the usual 3.5g, and get a better, more stable formula with a more flattering finish. Don’t get me wrong, I still like this blush and I do use it quite often since I love the colour so much – but every time I use it, I’m acutely aware of how inferior this is compare to the matte Baked blushes. I will enjoy this blush and use it up (with 17g though, as if), but I do not plan on purchasing any more colour from this Rose line.

This is an ok drugstore blush. It lasts pretty well on my skin but not all day. The texture is quite chalky and powdery but it blends out and looks ok on the face. You can’t realky build it up very much. It doesn’t stick to itself enough to build up. Foundation needs to be slightly tacky for this to stick otherwise it fades away. I haven’t had it go on patchy but it is quite sheer. The color is a yellow toned pink which on me is a nice subtly brightening pink that brightens up my face. I don’t have many pink blushes because I have a hard time pulling them off but I do like this shade so I deal with powdery chalkiness. The packaging is kind of bulky but very pretty. If I found a shade similar to this in a nicer formula I’d get that over this. MAC Mocha is my closest dupe and I reach for that over this most days.

Beautiful blush and color. Only con is the compact is a little hard to open. But the price was right and I would buy again but I doubt I will need to buy again as a little goes a long way. Also bought the rose color. Looking for the Dolce color but not sure I need with the rose color.

I had avoided buying this blush for so long because it is stinky. I smelled my daughter’s last year and vowed not to buy it for aromatic reasons alone.
Sadly…I fell in love with this shade when I wore my daughter’s and couldn’t get it out of my mind. I have a hard time finding pink blushes that aren’t too Barbie or cool toned on my fair, yellow-olive skin.
I put together a bundle of blush and highlighters that I wasn’t using and traded her for this treasure.
I like the packaging better than Milani’s baked blushes which are thick and horrible. These are very large around though and a bit tricky to find a space for in my blush tub. You get a HUGE amount of product – 17 g I think? Who could ever use all of that? That works out to $0.52/gram Canadian, the cheapest blush per gram in my collection.
This is an interesting formula – wax is a high ingredient, so I find it swatches very poorly with a finger and pills up. Applied with a brush over foundation it does just fine though, and gives a soft, velvety matte finish. Decent wear time too, at least 5 hours for me (combo skin).
Tea Rose is more lightly pigmented than Romantic Rose and I definitely have to work the blush with my brush to get enough product. The color a a soft, feminine, romantic, muted pink that doesn’t clash with my skin tone. I feel so pretty when I wear this color, it’s my favorite of the Rose blushes. I could wear it almost every day if I let myself.
I don’t regret breaking my vow at all.

Despite being very fair, it took many layers of this blush to show up on my face. It did not blend very well.

I really don’t like the shiny gold packaging Milani has been putting things into. I think it looks cheap. It’d be so much nicer looking if it were just black plastic. But, that’s just me! Ultimately, we’re all concerned with the contents of the packaging!
The blush is nicely presented in its rose shape. I tried 5 other blush shades concurrently with this one in my effort to find an everyday shade. This is the color that I think suits my skin tone best. The problem is, it doesn’t stay on very well. This is the same problem I have with Milani eyeshadows, so I’m assuming it’s just part of their powder formulas. It’s a shame, because it’s very beautiful.

This is my second Milani blush, first being from their baked blush line in Luminoso. Both have impressive long lasting color. A plus, since I don’t always wear foundation and hardly ever use primer (too many steps lol). Anyhow.. to compare. The formula is more powdery and dry than the baked blush Luminoso however it fades to a VERY natural flush which lasts all day. Yet neither shade compliments my fair/medium skin brown/green hazel eyes. Weird. I’m thinking the colors are better on youthful skin and I am a mature lady.
EDITING to knock off a star, the product has developed an icky chemical scent that lingers after application. Shame because there’s a lot of product in the pan left. .

This is my everyday blush and I have no plans of changing that! I use it with the physicians formula butter bronzer in light(I go between an nc 5 and 10) and it gives me that perfect bronzed, spent all week at the beach, sung goddess look that I love. I’m a waitress and sweating for hours on end in and out of a hot kitchen and this stays out all day long! I have several of the other colors of this blush but this one is by far my favorite!
