Pros:
The color (Partners in Crimson) – It’s vibrant and pigmented and looks really dramatic on fair skin. It’s a deep, scarlet red suitable for everyday wear and office wear alike. Great coverage as well and stays on nicely. Doesn’t smear.
The smudge brush – Really adds to the packaging and makes it a nice effortlessly beautiful look. Mutes the color just the right amount.
Cons:
Oily on the skin and doesn’t feel natural or smell good

I bought this a while ago in shade 45, I’m Blushing, and promptly put it in my stash, not to be seen for…too long. But I recently started shopping in my collection and this caught my eye. I’ve been wearing a lot of burgundy eye looks and this is a nice deep berry without being too bright, and it’s very wearable even with my pale skin.
I actually really love this formula among my mattes, it’s light and airy, it doesn’t settle or get clumpy, and it wears well even in areas it comes off of. I just had two bottles of water and ate before I needed to reapply, and even then I didn’t need much. I didn’t look crazy either, which some mattes can do when they move off the inner lip area.
The silicone end for blurring doesn’t appeal to me, but it does a great job of pressing in the product. Once I use it and blot with a tissue, hardly any wears off. I actually think it’s a great idea, similar to pressing in powder on foundation, since this is kind of powdery itself. I am actually planning on finding a few more of the limited color selection.

I wish this had more colors because I loooove this lippie. Feels breathable o the lips, not drying, and long-lasting. The colors are richly pigmented and the sleek packaging makes it convenient to carry. New HG!

TRANSFER PROOF. I love me a bold matte look but i hate having it all come off on my coffee cups. this stuff stays on and on and doesnt smear. a little drying, but that’s life.

I absolutely love the formula of these! They’re creamy and extremely pigmented. It’s easy to apply.
I’m definitely not a fan of the plastic blur things… they’re kind of useless. I do like the blurring effect though so I apply the product to the center of my lips and blend it out with my finger.
I have two colors: Fast & Fuchsia and My, My, Magenta.
They look extremely vibrant and they wear for hours.

I was pulled in by the ads because I think that blurred effect is cute, but I went and bought I Like to Mauve It, a more light-to-medium pinky-nude-rose shade, which I don’t think works super great for a blurred lines effect since it’s a MLBB shade on me. But I like it, I just don’t love it. After first applying, the lipstick feels fairly comfortable and not too dry feeling for a matte (compared to, say, Kat Von D’s Studded Kiss lipsticks, which have a lot of tug). After a while it feels more dry and uncomfortable. Not intolerable, but it just would be nice if it felt more comfortable.
I do like that this doesn’t have a scent the way most Maybelline lip products do, and the wear time is decent. The silicone nub on the other side, to use for smudging, seems a bit of a waste to me. I wiped the lipstick off it after using it a couple times and it started to pop out. No real big deal, as I probably will just use it as lipstick, but it’s just kind of a useless detail to me. I can get a smudged effect from any matte lipstick, just by applying it an blurring away the edges with a Q-tip. Still, this is a nice product. I just wish Maybelline had sealed these before putting in stores (about half the ones I see in shops have been obviously tampered with), and if they ever redo the packaging, I’d hope they do away with the smudger and cut the price by a buck or add a bit more product. If it felt less drying, I’d even buy it again.

this stuff is total garbage. the texture feels so dry and gross, like I put eyeshadow on my lips. I’ve tried other matte lipsticks that were way more comfortable than this. as far as lasting power, it was like a regular lipstick, not long wearing at all. I got Partner in Crimson, which is pretty but transfers quite a bit. I know that should be expected of a red, but since some other reviewers were saying “no transfer” I just wanted to put that out there. this color does.
by the way, the smudger is totally gimmicky. you’d probably get better results with your fingertip.

I was surprisingly impressed with this lipstick! I have the shade Berry Misbehaved and it’s a beautiful, pigmented hot pink. I don’t use the smudger because I like the look of precise lines, and it just washes away the gorgeous colour.
I’ve worn this lipstick for a solid 7 hours and it did not need to be touched up. When eating a meal, the lipstick will fade slightly in the middle (but it doesn’t flake) but touch-ups look perfect. I’ve eaten chicken wings, pasta and drank wine with this lipstick on and it’s barely faded.
This lipstick is perfectly matte with no shine at all. The formula is creamy but can be drying on the lips. So definitely exfoliate/moisturize after wearing. One of the longest lasting lipsticks I’ve come across. And can’t beat the price!
Pros:
– super matte & super pigmented
– long, loooong staying power
– pretty much kiss proof & food proof
– doesn’t flake
Cons:
– drying
– smudger is useless; have to use a brush to achieve precise lines

I actually love this stuff. I got Berry Misbehaved, and it is so pretty. It’s pretty full-on, but I got this for the blurred look, because I wanted a new way to do my lips.
Because it’s so matte, it can be drying, so I’ll throw one of my Jack Black lip balms over it. It does add shine, but it doesn’t wreck the look. I don’t know if moisturizing lips beforehand affects application, because I usually just start with dry lips and moisturize after it’s all done.
I’ll buy the berry again when I do run out, and I definitely want to try one of the reds. I also kind of want to buy I Like To Mauve It, just because the name delights me.

I like this product because it’s matte and long wearing. I have dry lips and it didnt dry my lips during the summer. I have yet to try in the winter but I have a feeling that you’ll need to put some gloss over it otherwise it would dry out your lips. I dont use the smudger because it’s too gimicky. The lip creme is a good product.
