I was pleasantly surprised with this powder blush/bronzer. I got the Maui color and it is radiant and long lasting on my skin. You don’t need a lot of it. Use sparingly. It gives you a soft, dewy radiance to the skin…like you’ve been kissed by the sun. I don’t see this color as a bronzer, but rather as a enhancing skin colorant. I use it as a blusher, mainly, but will lightly brush my high temples and bridge of the nose with it for that extra “umph” to my skin’s glow. This is a great invention BB! It does have illuminating aspects to the powder, but not overwhelming at all, but more flattering to the skin. Thank you BB and keep them coming.

Ok not a bronzer – we know. And … not exactly an all over colour either. So while you think you have something like this category in your blush stash you don’t really. It’s summer perfect blush because it brightens and it’s not as heavy as a blush and that includes cream formulas. Maui is a well balanced pink coral with a smidge of tan to anchor it and keep it from looking too Palm Beach. Fresh faced girly but sophisticated. I have fair/neutral complexion and this brightens it up just perfectly. The amount of illumination is just right too so you can put your Orgasm away for the summer or the shimmer will blind someone. Antigua is also nice but that is more of a winter blush or somewhat an all over colour. I scratched my head on this “Illuminating Bronzer” thing when it first appeared but now I get it. No rules here, just play around with it.

I bought this about a week ago after seeing the new version of it on Temptalia. I think the “new version” might be a reformulation because it looks WAY more intensely pink and has the Bobbi Brown logo pressed into the surface. Sephora (at least in Canada) only has this “old” version and they also don’t have Antigua at all (not in store and not on-line) and I really wanted to try that one out based on the great reviews for it here on MUA. Alas, that wasn’t to be but I did buy Maui and I’m loving it.
For starters, I don’t understand why this is marketed as a “bronzer” because it’s not at all “bronze” but perhaps it’s because it’s not very pigmented and so provides a lighter flush of colour than most traditional blushes do. But therein lies its beauty. It really looks SO natural on me with very little effort or buffing or need to be careful. I recently purchased 3 MAC blushes – an Extra Dimension one, a Mineralized one and a matte one – and while they are all really beautiful, I find that as I get paler with age (and I was pretty pale to start with), while I need the colour, I need to be careful to use a light hand and buff with a MAC 130 or similar brush. But with Maui, I have no such worries. This looks natural and healthy and the subtle golden sparkle in it really does illuminate my face nicely. Great packaging too and there seems to be a decent amount of product for the price. I am really pleased with this and am glad I wasn’t put off by the “bronzer” classification.

Just bought this bronze today. It was recommended by the SA. Love the shimmering and the color. Is an expensive bronze but never regret my purchase.

This product is perfect for people who have very fair skin and want some kind of color in the summer. Ive tried a lot of bronzers and they always end up looking brown or orange and never match the rest of me. Since this is a pink bronzer its perfect I have pink undertones and it just creates a pretty just outside and got a little sun on my face look. It also doesn’t make my red cheeks worse. the only reason i didnt give it a 5 is because the lasting power isn’t the best you have to reapply and it does have some sparkles in it which I’m not a huge fan of. Otherwise I love it and will most likely repurchase.

I love this product! But I don’t know it is called a bronzer when it is clearly a blush. But I really love it. It’s the perfect amount of shimmer and the perfect pop of pink! It looks amazing on my fair skin. This is my favorite blush that I have (and I have a LOT). I find myself reaching it for it almost daily!

I have the BB Antigua and the Maui for a pop of color on the cheeks over bronzer. Love them both!

So I became a little obsessed with getting either this or Antigua, and eventually went to the mall to check them out. I decided to focus on Maui as a springy coral-pink pick-me-up kind of blush, and forget about Antigua although it probably has its merits too. Put off by the price, I hunted through all of Sephora for a dupe, and to my surprise did not find one. Everything that was the cheerful corally pink I was looking for was either matte or way too shimmery. Maui has just enough shimmer. So I reluctantly shelled out the money and got Maui.
It is nice, a high-quality product in a big compact, lovely high-pigment color, yadda yadda. But, it IS just blush. So for me (neither flush with money nor a big blush person) it was probably a bit wasteful. I’m not sure I get the hype over this, because it’s not a bronzer in any way (so why is it labeled as such?), and if you looked hard enough you probably could find a dupe for less. But it’s pretty and nice quality, so sure, 4 lippies.

I used this as a blush and I absolutely love it! It gives you the perfect flush. I don’t think it’s a bronzer but it definitely illuminated my skin and made me feel beautiful. I definitely want to try Aruba and Antigua.

It’s a beautiful pink-coral color, give the skin this natural tan look and using the normal bronzing powder and then applying this illuminating bronzes gives you the most natural, glowing beautiful tan in your skin, I absolutely love this product, I also used sometimes as a blush and works perfect very natural.
