   This brand was featured on the end-caps of an aisle at a store in Japan. I was looking for serums specifically for brightening/whitening (ideally with Vitamin C), as well as other more targeted products based on my changing skin’s needs. I’ve never seen this brand in Japanese skincare carriers stateside, but since they offered smaller jars, I was willing to take a risk to try an unknown brand in hopes to find a miracle. I can’t read Japanese and was armed with only Google Translate to help pick products.

   I bought a small jar that lasted about six months from opening (about 1500yen for 9ml). I think these were their short-term trial sizes, but I felt like it lasted me well beyond the expected time frame. This jar came in yellow/white box (each targeted product comes in a different color theme). It has a dropper to dispense the product from the dark brown glass jar. The product was a thin oil that spread easily on my face with just one full drop (sometimes I only dispense half of the dropper). I didn’t use it every day or every week – at most, 3-4 times a week, typically at night time. Whenever I felt like my skin looks dull and bumpy. Though I felt like my skin didn’t absorb it that quickly, it never felt like oil sat on my face. I focused on my T-zone, chin & around my mouth, the sides and bridge of my nose, and under my eyes. These are the areas where I would sometimes find little bumps or rough/uneven texture on my face. I’ve tried this product directly on my skin immediately after cleansing as well as after 1-2 toners/essences and found no noticeable difference in results, but preferred applying it immediately after cleansing.

   I did find my skin’s texture improved with continual use, but this product seems like a more gentle product where you don’t see immediate and obvious results, but mild/gradual improvements. There’s no added fragrance to this product, but I can’t say there’s no scent at all – sort of reminded me of fish oil, but not as strong.

   While I probably wouldn’t put this on my “must-buy” list for my next trip to Japan since I have other serums I want to try, it wasn’t a complete loss nor was it a terrible product that I didn’t finish using. I used this up to the last drop. I would probably do more research to see what’s their most popular/top seller to see if that’s more effective. Apparently they received @cosme #1 ranking in 2017 for their Eye Zone Serum (in a lavender/white packaging).
