i really had to consider the “would you buy this again” question and the answer is yes I think I would buy this again but only in certain situations and never at full price. This review may be lengthy but I want to explain my love/hate/love relationship with this and maybe help others. It took me figuring out how to really use it for me to appreciate how well it works and to enjoy the process. Let’s start with basics. It is about $30 for a large container of this scrub and since a little goes a long way, its a great value. The container has a screw on lid that removes to a large opening to put your hand in and remove handful of desired amount. The lid easily twists on and twists off. I really love the body shop classic and simple packaging look. Now the product itself. It is thick cream texture with an abundant amount of dead sea salt exfoliators throughout product. The exfoliators pieces are larger in size and can be messy while applying so I stand on towel outside the shower to apply. Also the larger size of the exfoliators can get caught in drain/strainer so just pay attention to clean out any lingering pieces. The main complaint of this product is also one of the best benefits of it in my opinion and that is the thick oily texture that lingers to the skin. I applied it as instructed the first time and it was a mess. So forget the instructions that the body shop give you on the container. I apply this first thing before I shower. I start my shower and wet my body before I step back out onto a towel next to the shower. I take this and apply it liberally all over (make sure hair is up and out of product because its heck on the hair). I massage it well all over and you can feel it working. It is harsh but pleasant as it removes any impurities, dead skin etc. My skin and hands feel like its being coated with a thick oil moisturizer that isn’t particularly pleasant but the end result is worth it. Once I am scrubbed up from head to toe, I get in the shower and take care to rinse it off. The water beads up and rolls off my skin as the salt rinses away due to the oil in the scrub. Once the salt is rinsed off, I take my body wash and loofah and scrub the residue away. One good wash removes it completely from my hands and body so that I can wash my hair and finish my shower. The oil washes off and leaves my skin so soft and smooth and combined with the salt scrub removing the dead skin cells, when I leave the shower I am left with the best skin. It this healthy, radiant and feels so soft and smooth. My husband even notices when I use this and we know how often men notice our little extra personal care lol. I had to learn the best way to use this and learn to use it to enhance my skin. Don’t wash and then use this or you are left with an oily skin mess. Use this then wash and you’ll be left with soft smooth and healthy skin. So I would buy it again if it was on sale or special offer but at full price, there are plenty of other great scrubs that are easily to use and I would buy one of those instead of this one.

I really wanted to like this, tried it on in the shop. Perhaps I got a dudd, then again hands have a different skin texture to rest of body.
There is nothing to endear me to this product, quite the opposite.
The fragrance is so strong while it’s lovely to begin it becomes cloy and heavy.
The big scrub bits are useless to scrub. They are pretty harsh but hardly do any damage because they flick off easily anyway. The base lotion is so heavy in oil and minerals I felt like I was slathering greasy butter over me not scrubbing.
It held promises of hydration. Stepping out of shower can feel the moisturiser .. 1 hour after and my skin is squeaking dry and feels weird, not moisturised but like a plastic coating on top. Is it the minerals? It did nothing but make me itch. I had to go back and shower it off. And realise my towel has this coating too.
I only used a small almond size amount for the whole body too!
On another occasion when I realise scrubs bits falling off, I had dug in tub to get more scrub bits to scrub. Major mistake, felt like I was wearing a body suit after.
I have dry skin and moisturiser and body oils just sink in within seconds. This is just weird stuff that sits on top making skin feel drier.
I personally don’t like tubs for scrubs, water gets in and it’s gets grotty in the shower.
Such a ware of money. I gave it 4 attempts because I thought maybe needs a cooler climate. Wrong. Each 4 x I hated it and regret using it and wasting good money on this.

Mediterranean Sea Salt Scrub ( the name’s been changed) is too greasy for me yet a scrub is supposed make skin feel refreshed. But it didnt have any effect on cleaning and refreshing the skin. i can say the only positive side of it leaves skin soft since it contains argan oil.
wouldnt buy again.

I was looking through my sister’s stuff and I found this scrub, which I remember she bought before months ago. I scooped a size of a walnut from the jar and I rubbed it into my hand. The texture of this scrub was very thick and rich of oil. Actually it was more of a heavey duty cream blended with oil and big salt grains. The smell reminded me of the indian jasmine or some sort of white flowers. It was strong but still was not annoying. The salt grains were a little bit big and rough which I didn’t like because I have a sensitive skin, but to tell the truth it did scrub away the dead skin. I was amazed when I washed my hand by the texture of my skin it was super soft actually the oil they used seemed to be very heavy. It is not the kind we are used to such as almond or even coconut I think it might be glycerin. I tried to remove by using soap but still. And as I said at the beginning I only used a size of walnut but amazingly I could use it for my both hands and arms so little was enough. Now I liked the fact that it removed the dead skin. Also I liked the smooth moisturized skin , the economy size of the jar and the smell. What I really hated was the big harsh salt grains which left my hand looking red and it was a bit greasy for me. So If you are intending to buy it you need to try it in the shop first.

This is from the SPA of the world new collection by the body shop, the Dead Sea body scrub! Wow this big jar took me in a journey from home to the Dead sea in Jordan that I love so much . The jar is beautiful and it comes in 350 ml, I would say this is an economy size, the scrub is thick, creamy and moisturising, it has a beautiful smell. This salty scrub with the salt grains and minerals will remove the dead skin and leave you with a beautiful soft skin.
The Dead Sea Salt is known for it’s healing properties , I am glad the body shop made a scrub out of it.
