I thought this would be an interesting product to try since I have been liking some of the other turnaround products. It is a lightweight lotion that I find, when worn over a generous layer of dramatically different moisturizing lotion, helps to seal in moisture and add a little luminosity. It claims to not leave any shine, but I think it leaves a lot of shine. There are several beneficial ingredients in it that I easily recognize, such as green tea extract, a peptide, sodium hyaluronate and vitamins A & C. Although I personally wouldn’t use this as my only moisturizer, my skin is dry and I get the best results layering several light layers of moisturizers and this is enough as a second layer to keep my skin feeling hydrated.
I decided to get it in both the rosy glow and golden glow to see if there was any difference between the two shades. Well, I honestly can’t tell any difference between the two unless I look at myself close up in a well lit magnifying mirror. It has tiny sparkly bits in it like a highlighter or luminizing product: the golden glow looks gold and the rosy glow looks pink. I guess the golden would help to mildly counteract redness and the rosy help give a little color to dull or pale skin. I do have a little bit of a tan right now so perhaps this winter I might see more of a difference when it has faded. I regret not saving the boxes to see if the ingredient listing matches what is on the Clinique website and if there is any variance between the two. Although I don’t think this is a must have product, I feel this is a good product to use in place of a primer as it has dimethicone listed second in the ingredients but isn’t as heavy as typical primers.
Disclaimer: I am posting this same review under both shades as I currently see no distinguishing difference between the two. I have emailed Clinique to ask for advice and will update these reviews with any helpful info they give.

Not a fan here. It barely moisturizes, contains so much cones that feels like applying a plastic layer on the skin and the golden particles look like a cheap trick to make your skin appear healthier while it definitely isn’t. Smells slightly chemical but nothing severe. I did like the light blue tube but the product is inadequate and doesn’t come cheap either.

This is so moisturizing and it has a slight yellow tint which gives u a glow.. but not so much that you look greasy. I got a sample of this and I really like it.

Unlike the other products in this line, this one is absolutely nothing to write home about. It’s your average lightweight lotion. Sure, it makes the skin feel silky but that’s just the cones and I can get that from any other product at a lower price. As for the glow – um, no, nada. I think this stuff is TRYING to be like Mac Strobe Cream but it’s not even close. Matter of fact Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Serum gives way more “glow” than Clinique’s attempt does and at a much better price point. Yeah no, I think I will stick with Strobe Cream for a glow from a lightweight lotion.
While I recommend all other Turnaround products, I def. say skip this one.

I surprisingly like this. It has a great texture that glides over my skin and it hydrates without being greasy. I don’t really notice much of a “glow” but my face feels soft and less oily. I notice that my chin area is particularly more smooth. I haven’t had any breakouts so far. I think this is a good transition product for summer to fall for me. I would repurchase

This is an average moisturizer, I didn’t find it did that much. It didn’t make my skin glow, which seems to be the selling feature of this. It wasn’t bad, but I wouldn’t rush out to get another one.

Pros: This didn’t leave me oily, but still kept me hydrated. It was lightweight and spread easily.
Cons: It broke me out terribly. I had three huge pimples and many smaller ones over the course of the week that I used this. There are much better products for the price.

TLDR: lightweight with almost undetectable golden flecks and NO SPF even though it’s a daycream
Pros: light weight, nice texture, not a strong smell, golden glow.
Cons: price, tube packaging, no SPF, light weight, golden glow
I don’t know how the same things make this product both good and bad. I have rosacea with dry and oily patches on my face. I used to use Korres but the formulation changed and I’ve been on the hunt for something new. I received a sample, and then repurchased a full tube which I’ve been using for 2 months every day. I love how this applies – very light weight and smooth feeling – like a serum style slip but it delivers enough moisture for my dry patches. It’s my favorite type of gel-lotiony texture for a daytime face cream. There’s no strong smell – chemical or fake – which is what I like most about Clinique products. There are slight golden flecks that don’t really show up prominently on me, but I am pretty tan right now. I wish it made me glow a bit more! On fairer complexions I think it may be a bit more noticeable. There has been no noticeable skin improvement for me, but also no irritation of any kind (which is quick to happen with my rosacea skin).
But it’s summer right now. I’m about 90% sure this will not be enough moisture in winter so it won’t be my HG product. I’m also not sure how this is being marketed for day use, without any SPF. I really wish it was included so I didn’t have to apply it separately. I would also prefer pump or jar packaging because I find the tube a bit cheap and tubes allow for a lot of product to be left behind if you don’t cut into them. I really like the turnaround serum pump and wish it was packaged the same way. The price does seem a bit high – but ugh, bordering on average these days – considering the issues I hae with it ($44CAD for 50ml). I’m not sure if I’ll repurchase yet but it’s definitely become my go to these days.
