Managed to get my mitts on a trial size of this. Been wanting to try for years as I love the concept of fruit enzymes and am a big believer in their benefits…in this case both Pineapple and Papaya. I apply a dime size amount and leave on for about 15 minutes. I tried to go half an hour but that was too much for my skin and I had to wash it off due to the strong tingling sensation.
Using this twice now I have to say its most immediate effect, for me is the clarity it brings to my skin. There’s a smoothness, an almost polished look that makes it seem like I’ve had a very mild chemical peel. There’s no grains in here so it’s not like a manual scrub or exfoliator, instead you have a thin consistency cream which glides on quite easily and partly vanishes by the time 15 minutes have come around, well on my skin anyway!
Ingredients-wise it’s pretty decent, mostly beneficial (although too much fragrance imo) I’m just glad it’s not a moisturizer as Glyceryl Stearate SE is quite an acnegenic ingredient when absorbed by the skin for extended periods. With this product it’s straight on and off in next to no time, so therefore not an issue for my sometimes acne-prone skin.

This is one of the very few products that I can’t say anything bad or good about.
I have used the full tube and still do not know if it works. It literally makes no difference, especially compared to the effect of chemical peels.
It smells nice and did not break me out, but I do not see of buying it again.

Really if I could give 8 stars I would. For tired aging skin that gets that “grey” look it is the best I have tried. It works but I suspect that it will not work for oily, young skin as well as drier skin. I fell in love with this after paying £11 for 15ml on Amazon. The larger 50ml is £32 and although I will have to bite the bullet and get it one day, I am on my third mini size atm. I use it twice a week for 15 minutes. Then I follow with a serum like Nip and Fab Dragon’s Blood. I used to use N+F Bee Venom mask but this works way better. If anyone has a cheaper alternative please lmk.

The reason I would not repurchase this mask is because
1) I love and prefer the Dermalogica Multi Vitamin Recovery mask which has a slightly thicker texture and leaves my skin brighter and more zinged up. I just feel the Dermalogica mask is more active.
2) I am veering into more active night toners with acids and I believe they have a better effect that this type of mask on skin texture
That being said, this mask is lovely- an easily spreading cream that does not sting or irritate. When rinsed off the skin is left soft. There is a mild fragrance that reminds me of sour candy and fruit that is not unpleasant. It is more effective and gentler than a mechanical exfoliator. For enlarged pores I still prefer a clay product…call me old fashioned.

This is a must product to keep your skin looking glowing, I use a stronger skinceuticals peel monthly and find this keeps my skin topped up, no need to use harsh scrubs on your delicate facial skin. I use this 2/3 times per week when I am in the bath. It smells of tropical fruits, you need to apply a thick layer on your face avoiding the eye area and leave on for 15 minutes, I then rinse and apply a moisture mask, this leaves my skin feeling hydrated and glowing. This is a beauty staple that I can never be without, it is a little prices but totally worth it, shop around prices can vary.

Over the last two years my skin has become progressively more sensitive and I suffer from rosacea and occasionally contact dermatitis. I’d heard this mask/peel was very gentle so suitable for sensitive skin and I love Elemis, so I tried it very cautiously one evening. After just five minutes I started to have an uncomfortable burning sensation so I removed it with lots of cold water. After applying my usual calming face cream with a bit of propolis gel thrown in for extra healing, the redness started to subside but my face was still hot to the touch for at least an hour afterwards. By morning my skin was very soft and definitely improved. I will use this peel again in exactly the same way as I still feel it made a significant difference. I am not sure I would buy it again though once I’ve finished the tube as it is so expensive and my Decleor peel is quite similar in terms of my skin’s tolerance, results (although not quite as dramatic as the Elemis peel), plus it’s cheaper by volume. The bottom line is I am pleased to have found two products I can use relatively safely to resurface my hyper-sensitive skin.

Love this. I use the tri enzyme cleanser, along with Arcona cleansing bars and this mask a few times a week and it works great. Leaves my combo skin even and almost hydrated too. Amazing product

Tried this on a whim and loved it. It smells like holidays in The tropics and is as gentle as ever. You can’t imagine that anything that smells so innocuous can be so effective, as after the 15 minutes my skin is ever so soft and looks amazing the day after. It’s a bit pricey but considering how effective it is I doubt most would be disappointed. Will buy again for sure.

First of all can everyone stop calling this a mask. Its not. Its a peel/exfoliator.
Now to review.
Pros
Smells lovely
Easy to apply
Cons
Doesnt do much
Expensive
I use this once a week even though I use a manual scrub once a week and also a chemical exfoliant too.
I thik my skin is used to harsher exfoliating as it doesnt do much. I will use it up thoug.
