I received a full-sized tube of Secret Flush by Universal Beauty, in shade 04 Nectar, in some beauty box or another over a year ago. Until then I’d been pretty stuck for years on MUFE matte cream blush, as I’ve stopped using blush that has any shine to it. I stuck the SF tube when I got it into my travel makeup kit, and took it on my next trip – I haven’t stopped using it since! The Nectar shade is in the same shade family as Nars Orgasm; it may be a bit darker than Orgasm. And it has a little bit of shine, which I wasn’t sure about at first, but it is really very subtle. It’s also very easy to blend. Other makeup obsessed women at work have commented on how it looks like it’s glowing from within, not like a shiny layer. It does have a slight foodie fragrance that isn’t as objectionable to me as some scented products – the scent reminds me of an organic Aromaleigh blush/lippie combo I had some years back. When I decided that SF was my new favorite, I went online to buy a few more to keep on hand, but the company seems to be in some kind of limbo status. The Universal Beauty website has almost all products out of stock, and inquiries go unanswered – I assume they are out of business. I’ve found a seller on Amazon and have stocked up on a few. But I will soon need to take a tube with me to Sephora and try to match it up with something. (I took off one lippie for price, as I found that what I thought was a sample size in the beauty box turned out to be the full-sized product. It’s really small.)
UPDATE: I still love this blush more than any other ever, and just scored *10* of them on eBay on a buy that had free S&H and got $10 in promotional credits applied to boot! I’m set for a few years now.
