This is no where near as good as the original Color Tattoo pots. Although it’s similar in shade to ‘On & One Bronze’ (Bad To The Bronze) and did apply quite nicely, it took a while to dry down completely. Also, even though I always use an eyeshadow base, this still managed to settle in my eyelid creases, especially if I applied more to try and build up the colour.
I had this for about 3 months and stopped using it mainly because the product started to look really unpleasant. It first started to separate inside the tube and then, every time I went to use it, more and more of it started coming out as big lumps on the end of the applicator. This really put me off and I just found over time that I didn’t find myself reaching for it.
I would definitely recommend the original Color Tattoo pots over these chrome versions. They apply much easier, don’t crease and all the ones I’ve had, have lasted much longer than 3 months!

Not for oily skin, but great for drier (older?) Lids. I’m older, lids not so smooth anymore, but this is moist enough and smooth enough that surprisingly, it looks pretty good! Because my skin IS dry, it has good staying power. I’ve only tried this one color, but I like the quality, so I may try more colors.
One thing that I would criticize about this shadow is – it would be much easier to apply smoothly and evenly with a soft-hair brush instead of the sponge. The sponge is too hard and too narrow and with these frosty colors it’s important to be able to use a nice, smooth, broad stroke so that the frost doesn’t look streaky.
The packaging would have to be different to accomadate that type of brush, but I think it would be worth it, because the shadow itself is good stuff! ( If you need help with this, Maybelline, e-mail me and we can discuss terms and my cut and all that other stuff : ) !!

My boyfriend bought this for me while we were out shopping. I love Maybelline eye cosmetics. This is a pretty golden beige Creme shadow. It is fair amount of shimmer. I like things that bring attention to my beautiful eyes. These eye chromes stay on all day and are easily removed with a makeup remover wipe. No eye irritation. No need to use primer. This does it alone. I also own the gunmetal one. I really like these.
