I purchased a sample on the DHC site – I found the formula to be very drying plus it did not affect the puffiness/circles either. Anyhow, the quest goes on
boastfulStork4
I tried a sample packet for several days. I found the consistency thin, cooling and easily applied to the eye area. Unfortunately, it dried rather noticeably with a film.
I’ve liked several DHC products I’ve tried over the years, and had a few favorites, but do not purchase them any longer as they are not cruelty-free.

I’m pretty neutral on this, but that may be because I’m not the target customer for this product, so take this review with that in mind. This product is meant to address puffiness and dark circles, and I don’t really have those issues. I do however, have some crepiness on my eyelids, so I sampled this for over a week to see whether it did anything for that. It does moisturize well for a gel, and it keeps moisturizing the entire day. The crepiness is minimized. The thing is, the ingredient that moisturizes—sodium hyaluronate—does so on a temporary basis. It doesn’t do anything to improve the skin or lessen the crepiness over time. I will be looking for an eye cream that promises to increase collagen instead.

Used a few samples of this, but cannot give it a good review as it stung the corners of my eyes. It’s a clear, runny serum that dries quick enough. I didn’t notice any particular soothing or moisturising properties. I did notice a mild stinging or burning near the corners of my eyes. The first time I used it I thought it might be reacting with an AHA I had used. The next time I tried it on bare skin without using any AHA. Same stinging. So, this is a no for me.

I have received many samples of this over the years and have tried it on and off over and over again. It never seemed to do much for my giant eye-bags. Recently I saw some MUAers saying that you need to apply it AT NIGHT to see results. So instead of applying in the morning only, I’ve been applying both morning and night for about 10 days. I do think it is making a difference. However, I still have eye bags…it is reducing them perhaps 40 to 50 percent. And I can’t vouch that this is the SOLE FACTOR in the change (sometimes, the weather, allergies, lack of sleep, etc make a difference). At 48, I also need something that does more than “refresh” and “cool” that area, so I’m a little concerned how this will perform long-term in dealing with wrinkles. On the plus side, this gel seems more moisturizing than similar products I’ve tried. My eye area feels soft and I don’t see additional wrinkles. If it continues to have these effects, I’d definitely repurchase, because for a non-drugstore eye product, it’s quite affordable. EDIT: I stopped using this for 2 weeks and switched back to my normal eye cream. My eyes got puffier! I’m going to order a full size of this now.

I dun have very dark eye circles neither do I have puffy eyes. But the area under my eyes are a tad dry. I used this eye bright from a huge sample and I was able to use it for 4-5 days before realizing my under eye area is a tad dry. Bottom line is if you are young and dun have dry under eyes, u can give this gel a try. But most people have dry under eye areas and would not have the capacity to own several different types of eye cream. Yeah I think I will give this a miss and go back to my Clinique all about eyes rich.

Ok, so you have those nights when you have too much too drink, or you got in a huge fight with your husband/bf and you wake up and your eyes are practically sealed shut from puffiness/crying all night? (it happens….) This is a miracle for de-puffing. Its not meant to be a moisturizing eye cream…. the caffiene ingriediant is meant to de-puff those eyes and it really wont do much for dark circles. This is really meant to wake up crying eyes and it does!!! I have access to the best of Japanese skincare because my husband works importing all these brands into the US. (He’s Japanese and I have everything from Shiseido and Kose latest and greatest…) I always come back to this for de-puffing. This isnt your everyday under eye cream but it will help you when you really need it.

This is one of Benefit’s multi-purpose beauty products. I’ve used it for brightening inner eye corners and lining bottom rims, as well as highlighting under the brow.
For almost $30 CAN, it’s not worth it. It’s overpriced, even if serves multiple purposes. Drugstore products are just as effective, if not better at brightening eyes and highlighting brows. For brightening the inner corners and bottom rims, the pencil is too chunky. The tip is too thick. You have to be careful or it could get messy quickly. It applies smoothly and easily but can be difficult to blend. I use my fingers to blend the product as seamlessly as possible. The warmth of my fingers help.
The bottom line is, don’t waste your money. It’s too pricey for something that a concealer, liner or shadow can do. The pencil is too chunky to do a great job. Also, Benefit tests on animals which turned me off from this product as well as the rest of their collection. I won’t be purchasing any of their stuff until they stop testing on animals.

I love this product!! Eye Bright does exactly what it says on the tin — brightens the eye area. It comes with little instructions about how to best apply, and I think it’s definitely important for users to read those before they use it. This light pink pencil can be applied to the corners of the eyes, just under the eyebrow, and in the creases to really open and brighten the whole eye area. Works great with makeup or as a standalone. One of my favourite Benefit products.

This is a holy grail product for me. I wear it every time I put on makeup. Even on days when I don’t wear foundation and just stick to mascara and lipgloss, I still wear this. It’s surprisingly long lasting and the packaging makes it super easy to carry around or travel with. It gives my under eyes that brightness and fresh look that makes me look like I slept like a baby, even if I haven’t. It gets rid of that tired look and also makes my under eye concealer brighter as well. I can’t say enough good things. It could be cheaper. I find it a bit expensive for what it is. But otherwise, I’ll be repurchasing this until Benefit discontinues it. Sometimes it can crease a bit under the eyes but it’s nothing that a little dusting of setting powder can’t fix.

I’ve had Eye Bright for nearly 2 months and was regretting my purchase. Finally, I decided to make to work. I didn’t like the look of this in my waterline or inner corners (I prefer a regular concealer or shimmery highlight there, also a nude eyepencil works much better in the waterline). My dark circles aren’t bad enough to warrant using this as a ‘corrector’, plus the texture is too dry for undereye skin.
So I played around with it, tried applying it on different parts of my face, and I found the best areas to use it on me::
Under the whole length of my eyebrow (this really opened up my eyes), on browbone, into nasiolabial-fold shadows or smile lines, the corners of the mouth, on the forehead and between the brows (I’m seeing the beginnings of a frown line there, so there is a slight depression). If you are more mature, try this in folds or creases (like marionette lines, frown lines, smile lines, anywhere you see aging shadows etc), then pat your foundation over it…I think it would work nicely!
Because it is matte and dry, the finish looks clean, no excess shine like you get in those ‘illuminating concealers’, so it won’t draw more attention to flaws…and the effect is much more subtle and natural than using light-yellow concealers to ‘highlight/brighten’ (maybe it’s because my face has more pink in it than yellow?). The pink shade works to cancel the dark cool tones of the shadows on my face superbly and it really does brighten the skin and make me look more youthful and fresh. It needs some good blending ofcourse, so I used my Sephora concealer brush #57 to do that, and then I stippled my usual foundation over it…the end result made me really happy. I’m glad this product is not going to go to waste.
I wish I could find an actual concealer in this shade…this product made me realize that I need a light pink concealer in my life!! Will probably need it even more the older I get. I think the price for this pencil is ridiculous. I’d be so happy if this shade was available in a 0.5-1oz tube form and marketed as a correcting concealer…please no shimmer or light reflective particles, just 100% matte, opaque and with a thick creamy consistency (like those long-wearing, full-cover concealers). Someone please make this happen…MUFE, MAC, Inglot…are you there?

Hmmm…. I was using a highlighter by NYX before buying this. I think this product doesn’t glide on as well as others. It’s just ok for me.

First you think this might be a useless product and only for someone who “has already everything”. But in fact, it really makes a difference once applied. It quickly became a part of my daily routine and I feel I look more awake with it. Also, I love the fact that it is a stick, which makes it very easy to use and the consistency of the stick is just firm enough to still be a stick and soft enough to be applied very smoothly. Love it!

Great product to wear on the inner corner of the eye, Cupid’s bow, or under the eyebrows to add a subtle highlight with no sparkle. I wear this alone on my “lazy days” on the inner corners of my eyes to give a more “awake” effect, but it’s also great to use under shimmery shadows on a smoky eye or as a highlight. My only complaint is that it doesn’t come in a retractable pencil, because I feel like I waste so much product having to sharpen the pencil with a sharpener. All in all, this is a very versatile product and I recommend it to anyone looking for a quick easy highlighting product.

Didn’t notice any improvement and was a rather sticky gel/ serum. Only got as a sample and used over the course of 2 weeks but b/c I’m a demanding consumer I expect improvement sooner than that.. 🙂

this is very refreshing, hydrating and helps with puffiness. it is soothing on sensitive skin. love this!

Decided to spring for this while it was on sale.
I needed a quick pick me up for my eyes in the morning, and the caffeine in this does just that. It feels cool and soothing.
I don’t have dark under eye issues so I don’t know if it does much in that category. But as a light gel that really helps alleviate any puffiness it’s aces. It’s saved me from the dreaded allergy eye too!
I’m glad I bought it.

This is not one of my favorite Benefit products. The color looks fake in my waterline, doesn`t blend very well in the inner corners, and it is a little too obvious, like “Here I am!”, if you try using it under your eyebrow arch or as an under eye concealer. I get what it`s trying to be, but I don`t think it works really.

need i say more? beautiful and have always repurchased. lifted and brighten my eyes instantly. stil has a slightly dandruffy eyelash look if u put too much though

This is the one Benefit product I can’t do without. Use it practically every day to brighten my eyes by lining the inner rims. Also great to “lift” eyes by applying just under the brow and inner eye corner. Instant sleep! I had Lasik a few years ago and find computer time, late nights, etc. take a toll on my eyes and how refreshed they look, so this is a staple in my makeup kit. I also really like this just above the lip to define the Cupid’s Bow–makes your lipstick pop. It’s a great basic, try it!
