I have this in the color 120, which is a translucent red. It was an expensive lipstick I bought because I waned something moisturizing and sheer red. I pretty much hate this, but won’t give it a lower rating because the lowest rating is reserved for things that break out my lips on top of being a bad formulation.
Why I don’t like this: it’s emollient (rather silicon-y), but not moisturizing (I live up north), and it deposits color unevenly. It annoys me huuuugely that this never goes on my lips easily – there are always weird splotches of red and bald patches, which means I always have to have a mirror to apply this. Unlike glosses and other lip-balm products I have, this somehow also ends up above my cupid’s bow – I don’t know why. If I press my lips together a little too hard, this moves into horizontal lines along my lips. I didn’t pay a lot of money because I wanted a product that is hard to work with. I might use it up, but I’m not completely sure – I might toss it before that time. Until now, the only reason I’ve used as much of it as I have has been because it was expensive. Honestly though, the formula feels, wears and applies like what I would expect form a really cheap product. This cost $36 (OMG, that’s so expensive! X’G); for that price I HIGHLY recommend buying a Dior Addict Extreme lipstick instead – much better formula!

I have this in Spontanee, shade 314, it’s a true pink without any purple/violet undertones – a very nice, fresh shade. It feels like a balm on the lips, yes, there’s not that much color, you have to put on 3-4 swipes to get some coverage, but that way you can build and control the amount of color you want, so I don’t see this as a con. The color lasts for about 2-3 hours, that’s not taking into account eating/drinking, but it’s the texture is very nice, so I don’t mind reapplying.
As far as hydration goes, I’m very impressed. I have the dryest lips ever and always put some chapstick underneath my lipstick, but this is one of the first lip products that doesn’t call for that. Actually, my lips feel very soft and hydrated after wearing this, the result is comparable to wearing some very hydrating chapstick.
It also has a nice raspberry-ish scent, I’m not a fan of scented makeup, but this one is not too overpowering.
Also have to say that the case is very nice – it snaps shut, so no worries that this will open in you purse and color all of its contents.
Overall, I’m very pleased with the quality of this, the only thing is that it won’t last long – it’s very thin and sheer, so you can see how it’s literally disappearing from the lipstick case with every swipe).

These lipsticks are sheer, high shine lipsticks that leave a demi matte stain. They have good colour payoff and are easy to apply. They are comfortable to wear and last 1-2 hours before needing to be topped up. The packaging is really simple and chic. I have 314, a nude bubblegum pink. And 212, a browny pink which is Lisa Eldridge favourite. Only downside is that it’s really expensive, $50aud and only contains 2.9g.

I was hesitant about saying yes to re-purchasing this product because I think you can get something comparable for less money.
I do like the Shine Lover lipsticks and I can see myself using it up rather quickly compared to other lipsticks because of the amount of product in the tube and how often I need to apply it.
It has a very emollient texture and the pigment is decent but it wears off rather quickly. I need to reapply after my morning coffee and throughout the day.
I bought the # 346 Electriscente which looks brighter in the tube than on my lips. It’s a vibrant hot pink (it reminds me of MAC’s Girl About Town but not as intense) that gives me that ‘awake’ look. It’s perfect for spring and summer.
If you’re looking for something to purchase during gwp time, this is something to consider.
Otherwise, once I use up this tube, I’d look for cheaper alternatives.

Wow, this is great! It lasts and makes my lips feel moisturized for such a long time. It is like a stain. The color is vibrant. Also it doesn’t accentuate imperfections even flakes. I bought number 120, “O My Rouge.” I like to line my lips with lip balm before applying this lipstick to avoid bleeding, although it doesn’t bleed that much.

I bought this after seeing a Lisa Eldridge review of it (or at least, included in one of her make up tutorials) so I though it must be good. I was really unsure to start with, as the coverage is so light and glossy and the colour is a fairly bright pink (Inattendue 354) very unlike a shade I would normally buy, however after a few wears I’m hooked! The shine wears off and leaves a light stain, it really brightens up my face and manages to not clash with my warm/yellow toned fair complexion.
It’s a great day time lipstick, or would work well for evening with heavier eye make up.
I’m not convinced it’s worth the £22 (uk sterling) price tag, but I’m sure there’s a cheaper dupe out there.
I’ve only given it four stars, as the perfume and taste are pretty overwhelming sweet and sickly – would defo be improved without them.

What a weird product. It starts as a sheer lipstick but eventually fades to a stain. I have no idea why they would call it “Shine Lovers” because the shine doesn’t last. That being said, I actually love it, I still get some colour on my lips without feeling like I’m wearing full lipstick. I work in healthcare and many people actually wear no make-up, so I don’t want to standout too much and I feel really comfortable with this, I forget the colour I have but its a brighter pink, out of my usual comfort zone. It can be a tiny bit drying.

I really really like these!
they are really similar to the urban decay sheer revolution lipsticks (which I do like just a bit more).
My lips are naturally darker, so I look for sheer lipsticks because when I add more pigment on top, they end up still looking dark. The SA at sephora recommended this in the rose shade as a my lips but better shade. It looks sooo beautiful and is surprisingly nourishing.
Not overly shiny, which I do like. They’re very very wearable
Unfortunately, it is not longwearing

Update: This does leave a stain on my lips so I have embraced this lipgloss/lipstick hybrid and reach for it often. Upgrading my rating. Oh and tried the Almay lip butter and it doesn’t come close.
I got this in Brun Coquette which is about the color of my gums so perfect for just a little color for me. It is sheer and shiny but like others experienced it lasts about 25 minutes and then it is gone. It leaves a little stain but the shine is lost and the hydration is minimal and that is what I am left with. That of course is without eating or drinking. I am considering returning this lipstick because even though this is a pretty color I could have bought a Revlon or Almay product and had a similar experience for pocket change.

I got shade 314, and while I do like the shade, it stays nice for about 10 minutes. For those 10 minutes, it stays glossy and feels moisturizing. After 10 minutes, the gloss disappears and the color sort of fades. I can’t say it becomes drying, but it doesn’t perform any better than a Maybelline or Cover Girl lipstick (actually, much worse). Definitely not worth the $36 I paid for it.
Mediocre product, wouldn’t rebuy.
