I’m so used to thick and creamy hair products that I usually used too much of this after showering, and let me tell you, my hair was greasy and stringy not often than not. When used sparingly (and with a half-decent shampoo/conditioner combo), this hair milk is just okay. I saw no difference in my curl definition after the scrunching method, and this did not moisturize them, either. The scent is somewhat non-descript: powdery and milky and maybe a bit floral, but it does not overpower anything else I wear day-to-day.

i was really surprised to see the bad reviews for this. i was on the hunt for a leave-in conditioner that has NO protein, which is very hard to find. my hair is dry, wavy, thick, and very coarse. every leave-in I’ve tried has made my hair more dry and crunchy and the common thread seemed to be protein in the ingredients list.
this one makes my hair super soft. the scent is kind of oat-y or wheat-y but it is a non-factor for me, inoffensive.
as for price, it’s a little spendy for the drugstore but i think it’s worth it. i bought the travel size for under $4 just to try it. with as little as i use, it will last forever. i think the full size is $13 or $14 at cvs.
my one word of caution is to only use a tiny bit. for my mid length lions mane i use a dime sized amount – any more than that makes my hair flat. it would probably be too much for those with fine hair, but if you have hair like mine it’s definitely a game changer.

Felt great going into my hair…left me looking like a greaseball 🙁 was really excited to try it but it’s going back. I usually oil prior to shampoos & skipped it for this (wavy Caucasian hair), and it left me more greasy looking than my normal amount of oil would pre wash. I’ll stick to what I know: Shea Moisture.

The current formulation thst is out for this product is it’s third formulation. The first formulation spelled do strongly of lemongrass till I couldn’t even use it in my hair. As, the smell was honestly bad enough to make you sick to your stomach, then there came the second version, and now what’s out is the third version, which has a floral+sweet undernote to it. of which some people may like and others may note.
Carol’s Daughter’s products contain some natural ingredients to them, however, they are mai oy made up of chemical based ingredients, and most of their products do contain silicones in them. What I don’t like about thus product is that it doesn’t do anything super special to my warrant me to keep buying it, plus, I have decided to go the CG Route, which I feel is much better for my naturally curly hair as well as for my scalp (as I was diagnosed with scalp eczema).
To me, this product has been hyped up a lot within the Carol’s Daughter line ever since it originally came out, but I have to be honest, I just don’t see what all the hype is about when it comes this product, since it definitely doesn’t a whole lot for my curls anyways, except leave a coating on them, provide a bit of definition not much, doesn’t cause my hair to frizz, but if you are someone that has very frizz prone, i wouldn’t expect it to do a whole lot much to keep such at bay, and it makes my curls look more stringier than without.
I am totally over Carol’s daughter’s products and have moved on to using the CG Method on my curIs, and using DecaCurl’s priducts exclusively on my hair at this time.

I was kind of disappointed and underwhelmed by this hair milk. I always use a leave-in of some sort- a conditioning cream or a hair oil. I have long, thick, dry, wavy hair. I have been using a quarter-sized amount, as the directions indicate, on wet hair. It sinks into my hair very easily, and my hair is easy to comb through after application. I don’t care for the scent. It’s a shame, because the other Carol’s Daughter lines have amazing scents, like the vanilla and the tiare. This has a sort of light, milky scent that I don’t really care for. I also don’t care for how my hair looks once dried. This stuff does, indeed, define curls and waves, but it does so in a way that looks greasy. It doesn’t feel greasy, quite the opposite, but it looks a bit greasy. I don’t understand how my hair can feel very clean but look like it needs a wash. I have tried using less product, but it still winds up with the same look. It does control frizz, but that doesn’t mean I like how my hair looks. I think the issue may be that this product dulls shine. My hair is not as shiny when I use it. It is soft, but not shiny. If you have a complicated, multi-step haircare routine, this might be fine if you follow up with an oil or a shine spray. I have a pretty simple routine: wash, condition, leave-in. I would consider using some of the products in the Carol’s Daughter range, but I think I’m done with this particular line.
