Holo Fever is a part of the Holo Rainbow line (one of five colours). It’s a light lilac holo glitter – blindingly sparkly. I am not sure when these came out, but this week was the first time I came across them in a local Wilko. I picked up 3 of the 5 polishes and Holo Fever is the fist one I tried. I bought my bottle for half the price (current offer), so I only paid £1.40, which I think is an amazing price. I do own a very similar polish by Nine Zero, called Amethyst and although it is even more holo and sparklier, it is also 7 times more expensive and difficult to come across.
The formula is a little thick and you are likely to need 3 coats to get the full coverage. I would also recommend a thick top coat to smooth out the surface it give it that ‘glass look’ finish. Also I would suggest you wrap the tips with the top coat, so that the loose glitter is sealed and doesn’t get caught on anything later. It is quick drying. I managed to get 2 chips on my thumb after just 1 day of wear, but all the other nails remained perfect and didn’t need any touch ups.
If you like a bit (a lot!!!!) of sparkle then you need to check out this collection. For the price they retail at I think they are amazing. Can’t wait to try out other colours.
