When I use this:
1. When my skin is feeling particularly dehydrated and dull.
2. Following application of another mask (The Ordinary’s AHA30% and BHA2% mask).
Honestly, I do really like this product. I’ve been using it for a few months now as I keep recieving deluxe sized samples. However, I have yet to purchase a tube of it and the high price really deters me.
All that aside: It is wonderfully CREAMY (somewhat silky).
And it SPREADS really well, so a little goes a long way.
I leave it on for 8-10 minutes and wash away the excess and it washes away with ease.
Results= My dehydrated skin does look instantly refreshed and happy. AND another big plus (+) is that is doesn’t cause any breakouts. ( and I have spot prone skin).
Sidenote:
My skin type: Combo- Slight redness-Dehydration-Some large pores around T-Zone.

Every once in awhile I’ll treat myself to a mask on my days off. Had this for some time. It’s a thick white cream, almost barrier cream in consistency but a lil lighter. I apply a thick layer to my face, it recommends 10-15min duration before washing off, but I keep it on longer. It does absorb quickly leaving no white cast. After washing this product off I notice, my skin is soft and spa-clean looking. No breakouts. Overall it’s a good cream mask with no WOW factor. I get similar effects w/ routine moisturizers… not repurchasing, only cuz I like to try out other products.

I love this mask. I do not use this regularly but as a rescue treatment for my skin when it is dry, irritated, dehydrated, or sun damaged. We are talking once a month in the summer, and maybe once every 2 weeks in the winter.
To use, cleanse your skin and tone if you wish. Apply a generous layer to the face and neck – make it as thick or thin as you want, but thicker does not equal greasier, so don’t worry. Let it sit for at least 20 minutes (10 minutes if you are in a rush – 5 minutes is not enough to have an effect). You can apply more on top if you are doing a longer session. Your skin will thank you for it. Remove with a cotton pad using a hydrating toner, Micellar water, cool water or an oil to dissolve it if you use the OCM. Apply the rest of your skincare. Avoid alcohol-based products or you undo the moisture therapy you just did.
It is a thick, creamy mask that has just a hint of clay in it. It’s hydrating, calming, and soothing to the skin. I have reactive skin that gets hives daily and turns bright red frequently, and this mask calms all that redness down. It is not oily or watery, but it is deeply hydrating all the same. It smells fresh but not overpowering. The mask will begin to sink into your skin and “disappear” (it’s still there, you need to wipe it off), and that’s part of the magic – it doesn’t just sit on top, but works beneath your skin as well. That’s what makes it effective.
With all that said, it’s not the be-all, end-all mask for uber-dry skin, but it’s great for people with reactive or dehydrated skin. I have combination skin, but it does not break me out or cause me to get oily like oil-based masks can. This is a great addition for my skincare routine just to give my skin an extra healthy boost on self care days before applying water essence, serum, and moisturizer.
If you have dry or irritated skin, please give this a try. In the Winter when my skin burns after a cold and blustery day, this is a godsend. I think I paid $30 Canadian for it two years ago, and I still have 1/3 of my container left. A little bit goes a long way and it lasts absolutely forever.

This mask worked really well back in the winter when my face suddenly got really dry. My friend recommended this to me and it was like a miracle. After one or two uses, my face was back to normal. Loved this mask since then. But for some reason this mask is not as effective now compare to when I first try it. But still this is a great mask.

I think this is one of those products that isn’t exactly glamorous or hyped up. I used two tubes, and I liked it, but I just got distracted by all the other fancier products out there and forgot all about it.
You can’t really tell how effective it is when your skin is in relatively good condition. It was only when my skin was severely stressed for months by frequent travelling and dry air that I was hitting myself for ditching this.
It immediately soothed and hydrated my skin one day when my skin was feeling particularly tight. I put a thick layer all over my face to the extent that it was almost an opaque white. 15 minutes later, most of it was absorbed. And my face no longer felt tight. No amount of moisturiser did this, so I’m gonna run out and buy myself another tube!

This isn’t a bad product by any means, but I don’t consider it to be worth the money. It is moisturising, but not supremely so. I often use it as an overnight mask because it sinks into the skin very quickly like a moisturiser and it does leave my skin feeling smooth and moisturised. But clarins often gives out travel sizes of this when you purchase a couple of things online. So it’s nice to use, but it’s not necessary and clarins does much better products if you’re looking for moisture (the oils are all wonderful)

I liked this mask at first and bought 6 tubes at an airport. I’ve been using slightly over a year now.
I go for facials at Clarins Spa and I was told i could use the mask with 4 drops of Lotus Treatment Oil and apply on my face and lips. Somehow it doesn’t hydrate my skin at all. Even my lips feel the same. Up to a point i used this almost every night and just like a comment below said, it didn’t further dehydrate but it didn’t moisturize as well. Ive finished all 6 tubes and not going to repurchase.

As far as masks go, this was pretty disappointing.
It wasn’t terrible – it didn’t cause any reactions but then again, it pretty much did nothing at all.
There was absolutely no difference to my skin after I used it. It wasn’t any less dehydrated, it wasn’t any more moistursed – nothing.
As a general rule, Clarins is one of my favourite skincare brands but I would definitely look elsewhere for a face mask.

I love Clarins stuff (most of them). This is the HydraQuench cream mask. Nice enough, when my skin was pretty dry, I just used a bit of this and didn`t even rinse it off, my skin drunk it up in a few minutes. Lovely smell, never breaks me out. But it is not very amazing, just a good enough product. 🙂

I am so very disappointed with this product. After all, it is Clarins. It does not hydrate at all but instead my skin felt drier.
