I was so disappointed by this foundation. I was having trouble finding a good foundation and decided I’d try this one. I’ve almost finished the bottle, but I’m definitely not going to buy it again. It didn’t have any negative effects on my skin and I like the bottle and despenser, and the SPF 24/PA++, but that’s about it.
It’s a thick foundation, but that doesn’t bother me. It does make it feel a bit heavy though. I use a sponge to apply my foundation over primer and with this one it takes forever to get it just right. It’s so patchy and almost sticky. I have to go over the same spot so many times. It also never stays in place. I’ve tried it with two different primers and have had the same problems. It always creases and gets so patch by the end of my day. It just looks awful, especially if I sweat at all or I wear my glasses that day. Usually my glasses will pick up a little of my makup, but with this foundation it just cakes onto them. It also never seems to dry, no matter how much powder I put over it. I usually do a pretty thin layer, but with this foundation the amount of powder I use doesn’t matter. It never drys and rubs off onto anything that touches it. I have to be extra careful when I’m changing my clothes not to get the foundation on them, or if I’m leaning on anything or if I need to touch my face for some reason. I gets everywhere. I really don’t like how it comes off even at the lightest touch. And because it stays moist, I suppose it’s better for dewy looks, but that did not pair well with my oily skin because I would look oily a lot sooner than with other foundations.
This was not worth trying.

I have tried some high end foundations but my holy grail foundation atm has to be the maybelline dream whip smooth foundation. I had never heard anyone talk about this foundation but when I saw this while doing my daily patrol through the drugstore it was calling my name. So obv I decided to pick it up.
The Dream whip smooth foundation has medium coverage, which doesn’t really cover everything, but looks like skin when applied bc it has a satin finish.
Another bonus is that it’s super affordable and the quality is comparable or even better than some high end foundations.
Personally, I think Maybelline in general has super nice undertones in foundations, which make the foundations look even more “natural”. For example I have olive skin and use the colour OC3.
