I received a tube of this mascara in a beauty box a while ago, but I just got around to trying it today. This mascara is hands down one of the worst I’ve ever used. While I like the idea of shaking the tube to keep the mascara fresh, it didn’t seem to do anything. I used 4 coats of this mascara and it didn’t add any volume to my lashes whatsoever and it only added minimal length. My lashes were actually drooping instead of staying lifted like with most other mascaras I’ve used. I actually had to layer another mascara on top to save my lashes from disaster. I’m planning on throwing this in the trash. The only reason why I gave this a 2 instead of a 1 is because I like the brush design and the tube design.

HOLY FAIL!!!! I bought this mascara on a whim at big lots for only $2.80 so I guess I can’t complain too much.
I Usually I like rimmel products and I was intrigued by the concept of this mascara which seemed great but sadly it ended up in my personal “pass it on to another family member who will hopefuly have better luck with it” stash aka the “Hell No bucket” and Judging by it being at big lots tells me it is going to be discontinued if it hasn’t already been. Now where do i begin? While I was shaking it to activate it for the first time It almost felt like i got a little mini workout in coz the product would just not budge >_> I kid you not..It wasn’t till quite a few hard consecutive shakes that i finally felt and heard the product in it actually mixing. Then after curling my lashes (which are a decent length) I carefully started applying from root to tip in zig zag motions wiggling the wand and yet I still had already accumulated clumps on the first coat. Not to mention as if that wasn’t already bad enough, it left my lashes wimpy and lifeless with just a heavy black coating. It really made my lashes appear shorter and stubby then they actually are. I only applied a few coats applying meticulously and the formula just sucked and was too globby. The brush also left much to be desired and didn’t do a good job for defining or volumizing like it claims to do. Maybe with a different brush it would have worked who knows? I really wish they would improve the product and try and resell it coz the concept is really innovative and useful. I believe many would be interested in trying such a product out if it would really deliver on it’s claims but this particular one was definitely a dud and a hard pass.
Especially for us moms or ladies on the go who don’t have much time in their daily makeup routine and just need something to swipe on quickly while still giving good results coz this formula will take forever to dry on your lashes and won’t even give you any kind of “oomph” So needless to say it’s not for everyone.
I personally wouldn’t recommend it.

It says clump free but when I apply it this mascara still clumps and it takes forever to dry this was my moms mascara and she gave it to me. It tells you to shake the tube but the shaking doesn’t really do it any good if Rimmel changes its formula then maybe I will try it again but until then nope may even want to buy a new tube of mascara.

This maacara works great! It dramatically volumizes lashes! Those that give this mascara a low rating are unskilled and they don’t know how to properly apply mascara. Mascara solution should be able to stay at workable textute throughout your twists and turns while applying until you achieve the the look you are trying to get. I get the false eyelash look using this mascara!!! And it lasts a long time until it dries out! Who likes to use products that dry out after a couple uses? I guess lazy, unskilled, irresponsible people..

Terrible! It just colors your lashes. It doesn’t lengthen, thicken, it does nothing. Got this at a discount at big lots. No wonder it was $2.80.

This mascara is without a doubt the WORST mascara in the history of mascaras lol. But seriously….it’s terrible. I bought this because the concept intrigued me (also because i’m a huge sucker for gimmicky products). The bottle is bulky and heavy. Which wouldn’t bother me if the product itself was good – it’s not.
The formula is super wet and takes forever to dry…not to mention MESSY. I have a hard time not getting this mascara smeared around my eyes because not only does it take forever to dry it’s extremely wet.
Worst part is that it doesn’t really do much for the lashes. Maybe just darkens them and adds a “touch” of length/volume. Also the shaker is very loud!!
I gave this mascara 2 attempts and threw it in the trash.

Dreadful. I only got this because some other sites rated it highly but I have no idea why they would. The brush is too large and fluffy so you either only hit the end of the lashes or get the product in your eye and on your lids. The super wet formula heavily coats the lashes and makes them spidery and clustered, even after I wiped the wand off with a tissue so there was barely any product left on it. The heavy ‘shake’ mechanism is dumb and gimmicky, the weight made the product feel more expensive but don’t be fooled. I would be very mad if I had paid full price, but this wasn’t worth it, not even at 50% off.

I really wanted to love this mascara because Rimmel is such a great brand and really affordable!
This mascara is really liquidy and I found it really hard to apply! The wand is big, I have quite small eyes so I found it hard to work with. The bottom lashes we and utter write off!
I actually found that the shaker didn’t do anything, the wand was still a lot of excess product on it, I had to scrape it off.
There are better Rimmel mascaras out there so I would bother wasting your money on this item. It’s more of a gimmick to be honest.

Advertised as a clump-free volumizing mascara that stays “fresh” due to some mechanism that shakes around inside the massively bulky and heavy tube. I think this is a dud in so many ways. Let me get the pros out first because there are very few. It is black. Very black. I did not experience any smudging or flaking while wearing this either. Okay, that’s it for the pros. Now for the cons… where do I begin? It’s wet. I mean very wet. Good if you like that sort of formula but I do not particularly enjoy a wet mascara formula as it gets everywhere and takes forever to dry. It’s heavy, as in weighs down your lashes in the worst way. It does not add volume at all unless of course you load on the layers which will NEVER dry down and believe me, if you do this it will clump. One coat only is in fact clump-free so I guess that claim is technically true. Does not lengthen, although it doesn’t claim to so can’t really fault it for that. The tube is extra-bulky and heavy. As you can see I did not enjoy using this mascara at all. Whenever I applied it I got it everywhere and had to go back with eye makeup remover on a q-tip to clean up the mess. Definitely would not apply this after putting eyeshadow on or you have to start again from scratch. My lashes look better with nothing on them than with this mascara. Final verdict, unless you have ultra-long, naturally strongly curled lashes that just require a black coating and like a super wet formula, do not waste your time on this mascara.
