I like you has an orangy-yellow base – I might even with fine pink shimmer. I absolutely love this color! The first time I swatched it, I thought it was absolutely beautiful, but… it was yellow – how wearable it that? It was also… orange, which is a color I can’t say I remember to ever have enjoyed. After several trips to Ulta, I finally decided that I cannot let this go, and bought it. Now it is one of my favorite shadows.
My skin is right now about an NC20-25, very yellow-olive toned, brown eyes. I think this color suited me when I was darker and still looks good when I’m lighter, and also goes very well with my eye color. It’s about the same depth as my skin tone, but bright! I find it to be really pretty on the eyes, as it creates a very warm, cute and summery look. I love that the only thing I need when I wear this is to put down a brown color in the crease, and then apply I Like It all over the lid – it’s complex enough by itself. I really like the orangy yellow base – it’s not too orange, and the pink shimmery shift is absolutely beautiful! Every time I wear this, I can’t resist looking at myself in the mirror during the day.
I Like You is (like ThatGirlShae on YouTube called it) more toned down/a baby-version of the Super Shock Shadow called Sidekick – take a look at that one if you want something that packs a punch! I would actually love to own both. Anyways, I Like You is an Ultra Glitter shadow, but I definitely wouldn’t call it that, as it is a sating base with a shimmer foil. I must mention: on me, it has a bit more impact than on Shae this video: ). I find fingers to be the best tool to apply it – as with all Super Shock Shadows, but if you want to blend it out, a brush works totally fine for that. Otherwise, a dense flat brush should work the best. The texture is as with most Super Shock Shadows: smooth and creamy. When it comes to opacity, I find that I have to build it up a little, just because it’s quite a light shadow, but that’s not an issue for me. The color, depending on where you work, can be work-friendly or not, but for me, it is. It’s a color that mostly just brings light to the face and doesn’t stand out too much from my skin tone.
Anyways: it’s either something you like or you don’t, but I DO think it’s worth swatching. If you lie it on your arm, you’re likely to like it on your eyes too. Would probably recommend this to those with a neutral or yellow undertone, but not a pink one, as the pink shimmer will probably be lost and the yellow will bring out more pink tones in your skin.
