I have used this product consistently for 2.5 months. I bought it hoping to reduce some of the acne scarring I have. There hasn’t been a noticeable difference in the red scars and sometimes I wake up with dry patches on my face, and my skin is naturally oily. However, I occasionally use Epiduo for acne spot treatment and that may be the cause of the dry patches in the morning.
I am using Murad anti-aging/acne reducing cleanser, gel treatment and the perfecting day lotion as my routine.
The scent is mild, and it is a good consistency. I don’t feel like I need to use a lot on my face for coverage. It feels like it absorbs in and doesn’t “sit” on my face. My fine lines have not increased, nor decreased.
I am going to try their Night Resurgence Cream when this bottle is empty.
Speaking of that, in 2.5 months I am 3/4 of the way through the bottle using it once per day. I use a small amount; more than a pea size, smaller than a dime.

I don’t mind the Essential C night moisturizer. It’s like a thicker, nastier (like dead orange) smelling version of the day cream (with no SPF). It is heavy, but even with my oily skin it sits pretty chill (though I wouldn’t be going out in public with the way it sits – this is a before bedtime situation for sure). Anyway, for the price I feel there’s other options out there. Murad has even released city skin detox for $5 more which is like an advanced, better version of this product. So while there’s nothing wrong per se with this moisturizer, I’m pretty sure there’s better out there for cheaper or same price. Don’t go out of your way for this one.

Heavy, baby. This is a serious moisturizer – and I only use it at night. One of the best products in the over-priced Murad Essential C line.

I use this product almost every night before I go to bed. Sometimes, I alternate it with the much lighter sister product, Murad’s skin perfecting lotion. The reason is that this Essential C Night Moisture cream is quite thick and heavy and using it every night is not good for really oily acne prone skin like mine. But in any case, it works super well as a moisturizer that lasts all night, and when I wake up in the morning, my skin feels baby soft and is not greasy at all.

This made my face feel a lot firmer, however, that’s the only change I noticed. It didn’t make my face any brighter, although I do like like this cream. I will repurchase if I don’t find something better. Update on 10/30/11: I love this moisturizer! My face is clearer, brighter, firmer and feels very soft. I stopped using this for a while and I noticed that my face didn’t feel as firm, so the firmness that you get from this product isn’t permanent. However, I will keep using this. I just wish it weren’t so damn expensive! I’d pay the amount they charge for it if I got at least 3 ounces of product, but there is only 1.7 ounces of product! For this reason, I will stop using this if or when I find something better.

Seems to be making my face dry and every morning I wake up with a new breakout. I’ve been using it for a few weeks. I’m taking it back to Sephora!

Like the others have said, it’s nice, not too thick, but thick enough for nighttime and winter. has a very strong scent of “vitamin C” so if that bothers you, don’t even bother trying it. it didn’t do anything special or great for me…also did NOT break me out or cause any oiliness to my combo dry skin. if someone gave it to me for free, i would use it! haha

Again texture is nice, scent is nice. BUT doesn’t moisturize enough for me on the Murad treatment protocol. Needed another moisturizer over this one and for this price should deliver.

I just got this and I used it once,so far it has not irritated broke out my face.I know what other reviewers have said about the orangy smell, I dont mind it it reminds me of natural oranges,I would hate to think that Murad would put something on the market that smells like something rotten, like others have claimed, perhaps we all have diffrent sensitivity to smell.Ok back to this pruduct,I like that it leaves my skin dewy in the moring and it firmed my skin.I will update in one month.

Love this night cream! I have dry, acne-prone, super sensitive skin with lots of freckles, which I have had since I was a little girl! I’m only 25, but I wanted a night cream that would help reduce and prevent environmental damage, and that would moisturizer my skin and treat it overnight. I use muard’s perfecting lotion during the day and I adore it – but I wanted something a bit more potent for night time.
This cream is great. It moisturizes very very well without clogging my pores or causing breakouts. I wake up and my skin looks flawless. I have been using the cream for over a month now and have noticed results. My skin tone is much smoother – I can now wear much less makeup and have switched from using foundation to just using a tinted moisturizer on top of the perfecting lotion during the day time! And surprisingly, my freckles seemed to have lightened a slight bit, too! While others might caution against this, I always put a bit under my eyes and it has also lightened my undereye circles (as vitamin c promises to do).
Overall, this is a great product. If you’re wondering why I only gave it 4 lippies, it’s because of the parabens and silicone in the ingredients…that being said, I haven’t noticed any poor results from them, and am thrilled with this cream!
