I am a sucker for face oil blends and love the rest of the Clinique turnaround line, I feel they all have honestly helped to make my skin look fresh and radiant. I find this hydrates very well, works great under foundations, and soaks in without feeling heavy or looking greasy. A few drops go a long way! This is actually the most impressive product so far I have used from Clinique.

This is a nice oil from Clinique for the face. It has salicylic acid which is unique for facial oils. This is good for any skin type. It is not too rich, and I can use it as I have oily skin and sometimes oils are difficult to use. Plastic bottle, 30 mL. I would repurchase again.

Best oil!
I can’t use any moisturizing creams or gels simply because I wake up with small red dots after trying them overnight. All this time, I haven’t been using any moisturizer until I read that face oils can be better than creams. I was using Clinique’s Even Better Essence without irritation so I searched if they sell face oils and found this with great review… so I went to Clinique and asked for a sample. I tried some moisturizers and serums of Clinique but it failed me. Small dots still appear. When I tried this for the first time, to my surprise, this didn’t gave me any dots or reaction but instead, my face looked hydrated and plumped after waking up. Since then I used this every day until I finished the sample and eventually bought the full size. My skin is better each day while using this. Women with sensitive skin should try this as well. I will always repurchase!

I was very hopeful when Clinique came out with this oil. I’m using their cleansing oils (oil and balm) from their Take the Day Off range (excellent products! I went through several jars of balm and I’m on my 5th bottle of the liquid oil in a pump bottle) and I was hoping it is going to be another hit from Clinique on my bathroom shelf.
Unfortunately it is a miss for me, although it has its moments and maybe the time of the year when I’m using it (January = radiator dry air in the home/office and a horizontal rain and wind outside) does not lend itself to the best results from this product. My skin loves anything with salicylic acid in it (like a cheapo homemade aspirin mask) so I was willing to give it a go after a bad experience with an overnight mask from this range.
I have a dehydrated and combinations skin that in the winter, colder months leans towards normal/dry. I am a big fan of oils – on my shelf were all the possible ones from basic almond oil, jojoba oil, coconut oil (my skin on my face not especially liked this one but it was great when used on the body) that you can get in a health food stores to posh ones like Hauschka, Clarins, Caudalie and a couple of more exotic ones I brought from Poland (seriously, check Polish cosmetics, they are AWESOME!).
Clinique Turnaround oil reminds me a lot in consistency Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery one – it is very thin, almost water like and completely transparent. It claims no to have no fragrance but frankly I can detect a weak, plasticky aroma, especially when I apply too much. Although this might be attributed to the case that I bought this oil a while ago + it was made in September 2014 (seriously, chceck everything you buy on checkfresh.com or the like websites, some makeup we are sold in the shops can be 3 years old already when you are buying it?!?) and perhaps it simply went off. Although when I bought an expensive Caudalie oil it reeked the same way in my bottle brought from France as in a fresh bottle on a shelf in Space NK. So maybe this one just does not have a very pleasant smell. As I’ve said – it only worries me when I apply too much.
The bottle design is not really working for me, haven’t these people heard about a PUMP?! Body oil from a German eco brand Alterra that has excellent ingredients and smells like heaven is 2 euro, it comes in a GLASS bottle with a PUMP. Clinique, are you reading this?
Then is the action – we did not go off to a good start. The very first use caused some small hard, red pimples in the places where I very seldom get pimples. I stopped using it for a couple of days and these pimples went away after a green clay mask I applied. I tried using it again, this time on a damp skin and just a couple of drops and it was better = no pimples this time but I woke up with a very tight skin in the morning = it does not hydrate enough, it needs a layer of a simple moisturiser on top. However, the bonus was that the pores looked clean and tight.
Overall, I’ll use it use it up until half of the bottle and then I’ll see how it works in the summer with the other half. Something tells me that the clean and tighter pores come from my renewed acquaintance with a Redermic R, a mild retinol cream, rather than overpriced and stinky Clinique oil. I love oils but this one just does not work for me and I will not buy it again.

This is an excellent facial oil. It’s extremely lightweight yet incredibly moisturizing, soaks into the skin immediately, is scent free, and has a great applicator/bottle dropper to ensure you don’t waste any product.
This is probably one of the only face oils I can honestly say would work for and benefit all skin types, and is suitable for daytime use due to its feather weight formulation. While there are oils out there with better ingredients (such as Vc, Grape seed, Rosehip, etc), those are far too heavy for all skin types or they just kind of sit on the skin and don’t soak in well or quickly, and they unusually have an off-putting scent. It’s based on all the above factors that I believe this oil is deserving of a 5 star rating.

A fantastic product to use alone or with a moisturiser. I use this under my bb/cc cream. I also put it in on in the evenings while my face is still slightly damp, and before I use my retinol treatment. I have not had any adverse reactions. It acts as a wonderful base for the day and, when used in the evenings, I wake up with soft glowing skin in the morning.
The packaging is nice: a dark blue plastic bottle with a convenient dropper. As for the price, I found it very reasonable when compared to other products in this category.
What I like most about this is that there are no highly fragrant oils included here. I have used Clarins’ oils in the past and as luxurious as they are, they contain a considerable amount of fragrance. This treatment disappears into my fine, dry skin whilst leaving behind a velvety smooth finish.
This is not made up exclusively of oils. Amongst the ingredients one will find silicones and salicylic acid.
I think this is a great product for he right skin type.
