I received this as part of a nude lip kit from Sephora. I’d never tried Hourglass before, so I was geeked. My verdict: It’s okay. The color is pretty, kind of a mauve-nude. There’s no shimmer, no flavor, no scent, so those are all good. It’s a satin formula, kind of a creamy bordering on matte look, not heavy, but natural appearing. The formula is comfy. I like it, but I don’t love it. Given $32 to spend on a lip product, I’d be more inclined to buy something else, just because it seems a bit steep for a lip crayon. Good, sure. Mind-blowing, not so much. Maybe if I came across it on sale…

I was excited about getting this in a set, but I’m not a fan. First off: I don’t like the packaging at all; it looks cheap, the writing is really easy to rub off (mostly gone is a month), fits very little product – less than a regular lipstick tube, and then there’s the tip that sticks outside the packaging and can break off when the cap is taken on-and-off.
I don’t quite like the color either. It’s a mid-brownish-nude… or what I would call “pumpkin-brown”, that is a little too brown for my liking. I have NC20 skin, and I prefer my nudes to be a little lighter and less brown, as this makes me look older. I do think that many other people might like the color though
Te texture is really slippery, which I have never been a fan of for colored lipstick as I get afraid of smudging. It’s very slightly moisturizing. Not long-lasting. Has no smell (which I like). Overall though, I find this to be nothing special. Right now, with the smudged-off writing, I wouldn’t even think this is from a high-end brand

I see nothing remarkable about this, and I just do not get the hype. First off, the shade “Futurist” is nothing special, in fact, it is very nude on my NC20 skin, it barely shows up, even trying to build it up. It is not drying, but not comfortable. You definitely feel ‘something’ on your lips. I am not a fan of the cap, it is a bit awkward and could easily break off the tip, as it does not wind down completely. Has a weird (fruity? I don’t know) scent when first applied. Wears off for me in less than 2 hours, and that is not talking nor eating or drinking anything. Just not impressed by these. Also can slip around easily on the lips. Just did not work out for me, sorry..
