This shampoo contains a combination of keratin and lipids, and is geared toward very damaged, porous hair – from normal to thick. I have thick, porous, overprocessed hair and it feels on the light side to me – though it could feel heavy on healthier or thinner hair. I see improvement on the quality of my hair when I use it but of course this is temporary. One downside is that my hair gets used to it very quickly and I start rotating it with other shampoos and then forget about it.
It is a good shampoo that lightly coats hair – this is what it is supposed to do- and helps brittle strands over time. It is not exactly a moisturizing shampoo but it is not on the drying side and I get lightweight, swishy hair with OK volume when it works. I doesn’t cause many tangles on my hair and may be used without conditioner – the conditioner of the series is very light anyway. It has a light but noticeable floral smell, a bit like beauty salon products and a bit like the Elvive Total Repair line.
I gave it a 4 because I bought it on discount and it was well worth the price. However, it is a 3.5 for the full price.

Don’t buy it if you have oily scalp!!
The smell and texture are ok but it doesn’t clean my sensitive/oily scalp at all. I have oily sensitive roots and very dry and damaged hair. The conditioner and the sealed ends serum from this line are amazing but this shampoo made my roots look dirty. If you have oily/sensitive scalp and dry hair try the time restore q10 shampoo.

I believe that it could work for very frizzy and damaged hair. My hair is thin and fine, I get highlights once in a while and usually use some restoring hair producst after that. But this shampoo and conditioner combo is simply too heavy for me. While I don’t mind the smell (i find it a bit like old lady perfume) and my hair feels nice and smooth right after wash, it gets heavy and limp in a few hours. I can’t use it a few times ina row – a lot of build-up. Also, my scalp seems to be unhappy with it.
All in all – ladies with fine hair, you can find something better

This product worked very well for my fine, frizz prone hair. It smoothed it out, and I found an overall improvement in the quality of my hair, which looked more moisturized and fell out less. I have an oily scalp, and shampoo my hair everyday and this shampoo seemed mild enough to not strip my hair completely. It did, however, seem to leave a residue on my scalp but clarifying once every couple of weeks took care of that.

This is the best! My hair felt really dry and was really dull looking.. So I decided to buy the shampoo and conditioner and I could feel a big difference from first use 🙂 Really love this product

for once in my life i’ve found an HG shampoo and conditioner. i have very damaged hair from bleach, and this almost repairs my hair completely. i noticed a huge difference from the first use! i wash my hair 2-3x per week and this is perfect. i tried using a different shampoo for one day and WOW. i noticed a difference(and not a good one lol). this stuff is EXTREMELY expensive, but i snagged a liter of the shampoo and a liter of the conditioner in a duo for 25$(pro discount). i wish i bought a couple backup bottles but when i run out, i’ll buy more, regardless of price. this completely changed the state of my hair for the better. i won’t go back to anything else, at least until my hair is in perfect condition again!

I loved what this shampoo did to my hair, but I hated what it did to my scalp.
I don’t know if it contains extreme amount of silicone or why, but I had the worst dandruff ever after using this one (I’ve only gotten same kind of reaction from L’Oreal’s Elvital Color-Vive shampoo).
It took me two weeks to get off all the dandruff and soothe the scalp after I stopped using this.
It made my hair soft and silky, though.

I usually wash my hair in the gym, after excercising and store my various shampoos in un-named bottles. Whenever I use this shampoo, I can immediately tell the difference, and know it is this brand. The hair becomes soft, untangled and I always feel tempted to skip the conditioner. It feels light, foamy and very gentle on the hair, yet still cleanses the hair well. When my hair is dry, I also feel that the hair is still well moisturised.

When my hair dresser changed my hair style, I finally let her do it, she suggested this shampoo. Because of the thickness of my hair and the fact that she had streaked it.
I am not a penny pincher, however, I have learned along life to watch the money so my family can take 2 or 3 quick family vacations throughout the year instead of something extravigant once every 5 years. So I wasn’t fond of the price, but paid it and did again and will again.
I didn’t like the bottles had paper labels on it, they washed away and was leaving paper pieces in the tub until they were gone.
Ok, I think those are the only cons I have with this.
My pros.
It has a light “beauty shop” scent. I have heard “I didn’t know you had a hair appt today” after a washing.
I like the way it feels after it has dried.
I LOVE the fact that it is made in North America and bottled in North America.
I do not use it daily, but more than once a week.
Of course I will buy it again.

OMG this is the best shampoo I have ever used. I have thin, wavy hair, which was getting very damaged and frizzy. I started using this shampoo and within a week I noticed a major decrease in the amount of frizziness. Within a couple of weeks my hair was healthier than it had been in years. And it went from wavy to curly!! I haven’t had this much curl since I was young!! I have received many compliments on my hair and have been asked several times if I had gotten a perm. I’ve been told that my hair looks like it has 3xs as much volume as it had before using this shampoo. I went back to the store and bought a second bottle while it was still on sale even though I have 1/2 a liter left!!! I just LOVE this shampoo!!!
