One of the most stunning things I have ever smelled in my life 🙂
Packaging is glorious and slick like Mr Ford himself.
The scent is unisex.
But…….it is way too overpriced and thus, this is only something I’ve ever had as a gift, and I would not buy it again. Especially when I still prefer Farenheight by Dior, which has been my fave for over 20 years.

Base notes are amber, ambrette (musk mallow) and angelica.
Price is around 150.00 for 1.7 oz.
I like this, but I don’t love it and I feel it is overpriced. I vaguely reminds me of L’Artidan La Chasse only without Tuberose that sometimes appears and is obnoxious BUT smells almost EXACTLY like the super cheap Muelhens 4711 Original Eau de Cologne and NP doesn’t even have much better longevity.
This is a lovely fragrance, at first, but it doesn’t last on me more than 2-3 hours. It is fresh, clean and very pleasant to me but it is pretty one dimensional. What you smell when you spray it is kind of what you are left with until it fades away except that after the first 1-2 of hours it gets more masculine and very
soapy. I do enjoy the orange blossom scent and I appreciate that it doesn’t disappear completely as it dries down. I also bought the oil from Sephora. Reviews on Sephora were so mixed I decided to give it a try. You get 8.5 ounces for around $75.00. I rarely return things but this I did return. The scent in the oil dissipated so fast and it didn’t smell the same as the perfume.
Buy a big bottle of 4711…. Save your money and ignore the high priced bottle of Neroli Portofino is my suggestion.. It just doesn’t last long enough to justify the high price. One day perhaps someone will capture the true scent of an orange grove in full bloom on a warm night in Florida. To accomplish this task, they must stop putting anything in it that even remotely smells masculine because orange blossoms smell like 100% female. Most men would never wear what you smell when you put your nose to an actual orange blossom and it would never be considered unisex. This does not capture it, but neither do any others, not yet, but I can still dream.

Ugh I love this, it’s so ridiculously expensive and I can spray it like 8 times and the scent is still gone in 3 hours, makes me so mad! But the scent is just incredible, smells fresh and beautiful and it’s just everything I want in a scent. I’ve tried buying scents that were supposedly the same and they just were not even close on me. Would purchase. Easily a fav for me.

Luckily I did not purchase this as I was able to sample this. This is a very expensive fragrance. Glad I did not take the plunge. This smells very similar to Child on me, if not an exact dupe. This is a skin scent, no projection at all. Child has more potency and projection than this. Very comforting, when you want something to remind you of the summer in the tropics or those lazy days on the beach.

I don’t seem to get the hype with Tom Ford fragrances. This smells like a complimentary hotel bar soap and not the good kind!! For a fresh or citrus scent, I would go for Dolce & Gabana Light Blue. I will not purchase.

Not my cup of tea. I do get the similarities to 4711 that many reviewers described, and I am not a fan of that one either. Both to my nose are lacking in depth and interest, Neroli Portofino turns quickly into something boring on my skin, with the initial blast of bitter orange fading too quickly. Overall the staying power isn’t great either, especially for an Eau de Parfum at that price point. I guess it’s my skin chemistry so obviously, as with most fragrances, testing on one’s skin is highly recommended before spending this much.

This is a lovely fragrance from a prestige brand and the TF bottle looks impressive in one’s collection, but so is 4711, which comes in a handsome, historic bottle and smells identical for a mere fraction of the price. If the 4711 cologne does not have the staying power to suit you, the Fragrance Shop makes a great oil perfume version, along with lots of bath and body products.

I LOVE this perfume. I am unable to describe perfume well just like I can not articulate why I like certain food items. It’s this wonderful scent that makes me realize how wonderfully powerful the sense of smell really can be and elicits a certain feeling in me.
However, good GOD! The price!!!! I should put the price in caps as well. Several hundred dollars for parfum for a few ounces? This is like the feeling I had when Creme de la Mer was first introduced and we couldn’t understand how any lotion was worth several hundred dollars but many of us get suckered in. I mean there were stories of the inventor of the lotion (maybe an astronaut??) whom was able to heal his 3rd degree burns with the lotion and I had acne scars that I wanted to get rid of so I thought if a few hundred dollars can diminish 3rd degree burns, imagine what it can do for acne scars.
But I digress.
I’m struggling to find a dupe that smells just as nice and lasts longer so I don’t feel quite so guilty layering it on the morning but it’s a one of a kind decandant luxury for now.

I got TF Velvet Orchid this winter and loved it so much I decided to rummage through my samples and see if I had anything else TF for the warmer months. I got a tester of this in one of my beauty boxes. Unfortunately, I have to agree that it smells like soap to me which isn’t the worst way to smell, but I wouldn’t pay that much money to smell like it, I’d just buy a heavily perfumed soap. Maybe it works for someone, but not me.
