I have this in three colors, Cantaloupe (my fave), Kitty Karma (bright pink) and Candy Cat (a babydoll pink,,,)…these go on very thick and I agree that they can be cakey..not really a gloss but kind of like a thick liquid lipstick. I found the Candy Cat color can fade weirdly and leave a patchy look on my lips…they aren’t moisturizing at all..but the packaging is adorable and the formula is very pigmented. I would repurchase, there are a few other colors I want to try.

The wand has an adorable cat shape on it. That’s the whole reason I wanted to try this out. I love cats. I tried the shade cateloupe: a nude color with some element of glitter to it. These have that same would-be vanilla scent present in all Covergirl lip products that smells vaguely like play dough. This is definitely not a lip gloss, this is a liquid lipstick, but I suppose it got its name from the idea that gloss sounds more fun and youthful.
The product feels patchy and does not spread marvelously. It is comfortable to wear, but it was not what I was looking for.

This product is interesting, I don’t hate it, but I feel a bit unsure about it. Some days I really like it and some days it just doesn’t work for me. For the record I have the colors Kitty Karma (bright hot pink) and Ninth Life (classic red).
First, I’m not sure why they call this a lip gloss because it is certainly not glossy or shiny. It’s a thick, pigmented cream lipstick in a tube.
So it’s a little difficult to apply because of its thick texture. It can go on weirdly dry and patchy. It takes a little work to apply smoothly and evenly because it’s just…too… thick and the applicator seems to not apply it to the lips properly.
When I finally get it applied, I generally do like it. The colors really pop and it lasts a good amount of time for a “gloss”. It will transfer on to cups, food, kissing, etc, but it leaves a bit of a stain and does last a few hours at least.
Has no real scent/taste, has a faint “lipstick” type scent but it’s fine. Plus that kitty packaging is so dang cute.
So overall I like these, there’s some really pretty colors, but I don’t like the texture/application very much.

Edit 4/30/18: #WIG my dad got me KP 32 Ninth life (it is bright red but surprisingly wearable I normally shy away from reds!!), K28 Tabby Tease (a coral shade) (& an KP eyeliner (black)) [i ordered tiger eye eyeshadow off Ebay today & a Meow edp dupe 3.4/rollerball + Lotion set.] I love the K28 & Eyeliner not sure where I’d wear KP32 Ninth Life (I have it on now!), but it’s from my Dad (he’s so cute he’s like there was a swatch of it. [fancy he knows the MU lingo “swatch” LOL]), so I’ll find a way to wear it lol he thought I wanted to return it miscommunications id never return a makeup item my parents got me. My mom knows better than to buy me a red lipstick, but KP stuff is hard to find in my locale. My dad’s a guy he doesn’t quite know the colors lol. He was like it’s pencil eyeliner I couldn’t find liquid!! How cute 😀 tabby tease is an easy to wear shade. It’s a creamy coral. wig!!

Edit 4/28/18: Wiiiiiigggg!! My parents got me KP30 Candy Cat lipgloss from Kroger (what. I’m collecting them now.), which is a lavender bluish pink. It is more creamy of a finish than KP27 which is more metallic. But it’s thinner & more patchy than K27, BUT I love both! This reminds me of MAC dillydazzle maybe or st Germain but more purple definitely a Katy color! I’ve seen her w some wild lip colors on the show. I’m such a huge fan. RAWR!! Wig!!!!!!

Original review: WIG!!!!!!!!! I got KP27 Cateloupe (peachy beige nude w sparklies) becoz my daddy is extremely thoughtful & gave this to me as a gift as I’m a big huuuge ABC reality tv show American Idol fan! He said it was the only 1 left at target lol well I happen to exactly love this exact type of shade so I’ll take it & when your dad buys you makeup I’ll definitely take it!! It’s got a heavy amount of sparkle. Not a lot of color but duh that’s bcoz it’s a nude shade thank u DF it was meant to be! I like this lipgloss & I would be interested in buying more shades/products from the Katy Kat line. I like some CoverGirl products (Oily Skin B.B./outlast fdtn/country woods eyeshadow quad/a blush & an eye shadow trio i don’t remember name off hand & cheekers bronzers are all so good! Add this to list). Super awesome glittery sparkly gloss no discernible taste/scent cute packaging I’m drawn in! #winning #katykat

This lip gloss is so thick it should have come with a spatula. Hard to even spread it on my lips. This one is going back to the store.
