OMG! This is without a doubt one of the best liquid foundations out there – everyone should know about it! This is so forgiving to just about any skin type and especially mature skin, I would think. I have acne prone skin but also manage to have dry patches, lucky me! Not to mention the fact that I am now developing lines and wrinkles – what fun! With that said, this stuff NEVER produces an outbreak of acne and in fact, seems to have healing properties as I’ve noticed whenever I strayed from the path and give my skin a freakout from using another foundation.
This is flattering enough that you can totally use it around the eyes without any fear of accentuating wrinkles or fine lines. The coverage is buildable from tinted moisturiser level through to medium coverage. It is moisturising enough that if I’m in a rush, I don’t bother putting on my moisturiser first and it still doesn’t look dry or cakey. I have had so many compliments on my skin when I’ve been wearing this and yet it looks soooo natural – it takes years off me and literally never sits in lines even at the end of the day. Some people might want to add a spot of powder to set it, I suppose, if they have oily skin, but for me it works best without powder and gives a lovely slightly glowy, slightly dewy look without being too shiny. I have fair skin tone but with some olive colouring. I tried the cool vanilla shade and it made me look a bit too pale and it was a little chalky, so I next tried the warm beige colour and BINGO, my favourite foundation ever! The price is not bad at all considering the quality of the product.

My favourite foundation! Keeps oil away for a few hours and doesn’t cake! Love it

I cant believe there arent more reviews about this, since it’s been out in the UK for a whole year, but i only recently noticed it at my local Boots branch and got a little sample to try it.
I was really happy with my Instant Radiance foundation ( also no7) and thought this might be slightly too light for my acne prone skin with enlarged pores, blemishes, oily parts and dry patches. Nightmare skin in short!
However it went on very nicely with a dewy, glowy finish. I used an illuminating primer first and it looked fabulous. It didnt catch on my dry patches and what really impressed me was that my pores looked much smaller and my skin looked smooth and bright and even. My fears of it not providing enough coverage were also put to bed as it is buildable and has a smooth, even coverage. It is long lasting too as about 4-5 hours later it still looked great but it did need a few powder touchups throughout the day. If you have oily skin this might be a concern but as my skin is mostly dry, it wasnt a problem for me.
I have heard this is a dupe for Chanel vitalumiere but ive never tried the chanel so cant really compare. I think this a really good quality foundation for only £14.50 and sometimes they do money off vouchers so you can pick it up for only £11 which is superb value for money. Boots foundations have really upped their game since Lisa Eldridge got involved and they really give the high end ones a run for their money in my opinion. They have superb colour choices and choices for every skin type at a very reasonable price so i see no excuse for shelling out £30 on a MUFE foundation when no7 has such high quality alternatives!

Had to add this as a product as it’s a little bottle of amazing from a brand that’s widely available. I am shade Calico in their range and it’s a perfect match for my neutral very fair skin.
It’s in a bottle that you need to shake before using and this can leak a bit when you’re shaking so I tend to remove the lid and hold my finger over the top of the bottle before shaking so it doesn’t go all over the place. That’s its only bad point.
It is a watery foundation and reminds me of Make Up For Ever’s Face & Body (shade 38) which is another of my favourite foundations. Coverage is about the same as that one and it also has that same sheen when it goes on, instantly makes you look glowy and healthy.
I love that it is so forgiving of dry flaky skin – it is a ‘throw on with your fingers’ everyday foundation that is flattering, evens out skin tone and just looks so bloody good. Couple of dots of concealer and you’re good to go.
I’ve pretty much tried every foundation going in my search for ‘the one’ and this is still the foundation I reach for every day, it’s just a fabulous everyday foundation that makes my skin look healthy and awake. Hope you can get this one in the States – it’s well worth a punt, especially if they do 3for2s most of the time like in the UK.
