This is a very watery essence and the packaging is well-made (clear glass bottle with a plastic cap). However, performance wise, it was meh – not quite hydrating enough on its own (you’d definitely have to top it off with a moisturiser or oil, especially if you work in an air-conditioned office) and I did not see any brightening effects. Given the performance and price, I’d say that it is expensive. Disappointing after all the hype on sokoglam so will not be repurchasing.

I really wanted to love this after all the hype SokoGlam gave it. It was affordable and the ingredients looked great. But after 2-3 bottles, I have to conclude that this does nothing for my skin. After switching to SK-II there simply is no comparison. I guess it’s better to have a super concentrated product than a product that contains a million ingredients? That’s just my theory. Oh well, I really tried to love this but it just wasn’t hydrating or brightening. It was like literally splashing water on my face. I did love the pretty holographic box it came in for whatever that’s worth.

I believe this is meant to be a dupe for the SK II Essence and at $38 it’s definitely a bargain! The texture is watery and light which makes it easy to layer in my routine without feeling too heavy. I apply this after my PC C15 serum. Can’t attest to its brightening/hydrating properties since I’ve only had it for two months.
