This is my favorite highlighter. I just use it on the bridge of my nose and my cupid’s bow, sometimes on my cheekbones. I didn’t buy the right color at first (can’t remember which one it was) and it looked like I was sparkling in the sun – not in a cute way. Bought it again in Crystal Glare and it was seriously perfect. The color is super subtle and just slightly golden. Doesn’t bother my skin.

I bought the shade “moonbeam” when I shattered my Becca “champagne pop” highlighter because I was sad and needed a new highlighter. However, I didn’t want to spend a lot and I didn’t want to repurchase champagne pop in case I dropped it again. Anyway, this shade at the moment looked close enough. Turns out, I like this even more! It took me some tries to figure out the best way to apply it. I like applying it before foundation, and with my finger. It gives me a subtle, yet well-defined glow. Best of all, it doesn’t emphasize my textured skin. I found applying it over my foundation messed with my foundation and never really blended well. I highly recommend it if you’re looking for a new highlighter on the more affordable side.

This gives the skin a wet look and I quite like it. My only issue is it’s hard to blend.
If you tap it in, it appears glittery, splotchy, and bad in general. Buffed in, it looks like a wet glow that is oh so beautiful. However, wiping/buffing it in results in it mixing with and lifting the foundation underneath, but not too much that it bothers me.
It’s not so great for a full glam instagram look due to its tendency to lift products underneath. But for everyday makeup, it’s gorgeous.

I realized that this product actually expires within 3 months of opening! And I never go through a liquid highlighter that fast. So I stopped buying it after I had to throw mine away while it was still half full. Because it’s a doe foot applicator that touches my faces, as an acne prone person, I’m not taking chances with expiration dates. Because of that I think it’s not really a value buy, and therefore I wouldn’t repurchase. But it’s still a gorgeous product though, so if you don’t mind the short usage period, you should try it out if you’ve been meaning to.

I’ve tried a ton of highlighters but this little baby is my holy grail. This stuff blends out beautifully and gives a subtle and gorgeous highlight that’s totally buildable if you like that pow, in you’re face highlight. It’s gorgeous, idiot proof, very affordable, has a great shade range and lasts forever.
This stuff does not wear off either. I actually fell asleep in my makeup the other night and when I woke up this highlighter was still going strong.
It’s also not glittery, which I really appreciate.
I actually find myself reaching for this one more than my way more expensive Becca highlighters, that’s how awesome this stuff is.

It’s sooo amazing! It can perfectly last for 14 hours, sometimes I may even fall asleep with it on my face and when waking up I will still be glowing. 100% recommend and will keep buying it.

This product is a decent highlighter- definitely more subtle than other highlighters that NYX makes. The only thing that I don’t like a lot is the doe foot application- I find this makes it slightly tricky to apply the highlighter in all the right places because I prefer to just apply this with my index finger. The product itself can give more higher end brands a run for their money because this is an affordable option for a liquid highlighter.

Update: though i loved the dispenser, the lid splintered and completely shattered as I tried to open it so I had to toss my tube of Daytime Halo.
Despite the packaging malfunction and other issues with the shade and longevity, I just repurchased this product in Crystal Glare, a lighter champagne color, which is brighter and does not match my skin exactly like the Daytime Halo shade did. All shades were on clearance at ULTA, so I’m not sure if that means NYX is phasing this out or not.

I just bought this liquid highlighter, which (I think?) is on the higher end of this brand’s usual range at $7.
I was looking for a highlighter that wasn’t too white, which can look too ashy on my skin. This comes in nine shades–I settled on Daytime Halo. I was afraid it would be too gold but there is already a gold shade in the line (Golden Hour). This is more of a champagne / gold shade.
I read some reviews that said it was too glittery, and it does look like a scary gold metallic shade in the tube but once applied it was much more subtle than I expected. This is probably because it’s almost an EXACT match to my natural skin color (maybe too close, it’s almost too subtle). I don’t see the chunks of glitter that some reviewers described.
The consistency is a creamy liquid. I like it better than Elfs highlighter palette, which was what I previously had been using and liked, but was a little too thick.
I like the packaging as well –with its spoon shaped doe foot applicator, I found it very easy to get a small amount out (I suppose you can apply directly to skin but I put it on the back of my hand first). So far I’m pleased.
