I like this. I picked it up on sale and was wanting a scrub that wouldn’t irritate my skin and provide some moisture, and this does the trick. I find it a bit steep for $12 or so, but when it’s on sale or I have a coupon, sure. The packaging is nice, with the glass jar, etc., so it does seem a bit more luxe than some goop in a plastic container. For those who don’t like to dip a finger into a scrub or cream for the risk of contaminating the contents, this will be a con rather than a pro. I’m not wild about it either, but I try and wash my hands before dipping a finger inside and scooping out some of the scrub.
The contents are nice, though. Inside the scrub looks a lot like if you’d mixed brown sugar and butter. It feels and smells a bit that way, too, and you can pick up the coconut and cocoa butter scents along with it. It’s a gentle exfoliant, and it feels effective in spite of that. It rinses off easily with water and leaves the skin feeling moisturized. I’m not sure if it’s soothing, but it doesn’t aggravate my skin and makes it feel/look a tiny bit better.
For a little pampering boost, this is a nice way to go. It also works nicely on the lips, too, as a gentle scrub. It’s not a miracle in a jar, but it’s not hyped as one either. It promises a bit of nourishing and softening and it gives that (albeit more temporary, like most masks offer).
