While the packaging is cute and all and it has a mirror on the bottom, it is still very inconvenient to use. The applicator gets dirty and there is no way to clean it, so it’s full of foundation. Plus when you tap the product on your face it looks like literally baking powder, you need to take a brush and even the product out. So not so easy to carry around if you always need to grab a brush with it. Either way stays on for a long time, doesn’t grease over time.

As someone who doesn’t need to powder during the day, this product isn’t meant for me. I wanted a somewhat affordable loose powder that I can set parts of my face with, but unfortunately the packaging is not user-friendly to continuously open and close. I will be trying something else next time!

Another fabulous new product from Pixi! This line keeps getting better all the time. Not long ago, my 7 year-old daughter bluntly told me that the tinted Bloting Papers I was using for touch-ups made me look “like I have a skin disease”. I didn’t ask her to elaborate, because I really don’t want to know what illness she would suggest as a possibility. So, I needed something, quickly, to replace the powdered rice papers I’ve lugged around for 20 years (while looking sickly, apparently). I found this adorable little container of completely sheer product and immediately thought of makeup “malfunctions” I’ve had from silica powders (like IT Bye Bye Pores, BenNye MediaPRO, Graftobian SuperSilica, Purely Cosmetics Oil Absorb), etc. I know it’s all about the application, but I don’t apply silica powder well, and it doesn’t do enough for me to make me take the time for it. Pure Silica powder can be crackly-drying-caking-whitening on my skin, and it looks ridiculous in photos. Pixi’s Quick Fix is a soft, soothing mix of mica, corn starch, and moisturizes along with silica so the dryness, and the whiteness are both toned down. Rather than apply with a brush, which exacerbates potential whitening troubles, Pixi’s powder is patted on through an attached dome sponge. A teeny bit is all that’s needed to look refreshed instantly, and, dare I say it? Healthy.
I just love this cute little container. It has a mirror on top its lovely green cap, and it’s the perfect size for a small purse or even in a pocket.
