Love this!!! An excellent, calming, hydrating toner that tones down redness, helps itchy skin, feels very very refreshing and layers well. Quite high in glycerine and hydrates noticeably so I think it would be a great option for those who want to start the seven skins method with layering toner for starters. It absorbs quickly and well and doesn’t cause any subsequent layers of products to pill.
Rich in rose extracts so obviously not for those who are sensitive to them, or sensitive to rose scents.
The bottle is huge, the neck of the bottle doesn’t have a stopper, and that is literally my only complaint. IManufacturer recommends applying with a cotton wad, but I feel those soak up too much product. Trying to get toner on my hands to tap on the skin is clumsy and I always end up spilling some, so I have decanted some into a spray bottle. I think it could be a good makeup setting spray, probably what I’ll try next.
I spray whenever I need a wake me up, soothing irritation, or an extra layer of moisture. Even better if kept in the fridge. Nicely refreshing during headaches or pms tension, a godsend after a workout.
I have had no adverse reactions, and in fact have used it on irritated skin with good results. Other rose toners and rose waters I’ve used can’t compare.
It isn’t very pleasant if it gets in the eyes, but washes out easily and the eye irritation doesn’t persist.
My local drugstore sells it at five euro, cheaper than other toners, larger bottle, better results. Like the previous review states, it’s also available online. I will be repurchasing, especially in the warmer months.
Recommend to anyone looking for a soothing, refreshing, hydrating liquid, and anyone who dislikes stripping, astringent, harsh action of most toners.
I forgot the best part: so smoothing!

I picked this up in Italy — it’s one of those products that every Italian woman has in her cosmetic arsenal but doesn’t have any name recognition in the U.S. It’s a “tonico rinfrescante,” a toner of water, glycerin, and four different kinds of rose extracts, and you splash it on or apply with a cotton ball to refresh your skin. My favorite way to use it is to pat it on after cleansing but before sunscreen. It gives my skin a lovely dewy effect — very youthful and natural, even when I apply makeup over it.
I paid €4 for a 300 ml bottle in a Carrefour supermarket, and luckily it’s also on Amazon for around $10.
