This is a seriously underrated lipstick. Possibly because LW is not as well-known outside of Canada, but it really should be just for this product. The colors are gorgeous but the Red Velvet is infinitely special. It has a slightly pinky-orange tone to it and is very unique. Many bright reds tend to look garish on my NC40 skin but this shade seems to make my skin glow and gets me complements all the time. As the name of the lipstick suggests, it’s totally matte and feels velvety on the lips. It takes time to wear off and exceeds a lot of other mid to high end lipsticks I’ve tried, e.g. My Charlotte Tilbury matte lipstick which wears off in a couple of hours!
I will definitely get this in more colors!

These lipsticks are moisturizing and feel buttery when applied to the lips. I own several MAC matte lipsticks and find they are extremely drying compared to these. You will notice after hours of wear, many lipsticks begin to fade and chap your lips but these at least leave your lips feeling soft because they are so hydrating. They mostly carry colours that complement medium to darker skin tones. Almond Cake, Glaçage and Cake Pop are my favourite to wear as nudes. Cassis is a striking pinkish red which is perfect to wear on a night out. Kinda on the pricey side but still worth it!

I LOVE this lipstick. One coat provides loads of pigmentation, and is perfect for all you matte-lipstick lovers out there.
I usually wear a lot of reds, but I was looking for something a bit more neutral that I could get away with wearing everyday. Also, something that would be a nice marsala shade without being too dark. I`m Indian who looks very Latina, so the typical neutral lipsticks tend to wash me out. I bought the shade Zinfandel and it gives me the perfect pop of colour without being too dramatic.
It is a tad pricey, of course, but worth the splurge! 😉

My absolute favourite matte lipstick at the moment! I bought the Granita shade which is red with hints of orange, it is the perfect shade for the summer! It is a beautiful vibrant colour that pops really well!
I’ve tried the YSL, Bobbi Brown and Marc Jacobs lipsticks but they don’t give me the same feeling as the Lise Watier one. Once I apply it, it feels sooo lightweight! You barely feel like it is on. The only downside is that you have to reapply it but other than that it is great! The colour doesn’t bleed either.
I definitely recommend this matte lipstick especially for the summer. They have many colours ranging from bold red to berry to pink, all trendy colours for this year. And a bonus they are all named after your favourite sweets yummm!
